The agriturismo Poggio a Poppi was established by successfully restoring an ancient stone-built manor house. It is located in the green valley of Casentino and enjoys a fantastic panorama of Poppi and Bibbiena. Guests can choose between double rooms and apartments, all of them individually designed and tastefully furnished with typical Tuscan style interior. All of the rooms and apartments come with their own individually designed en-suite bathrooms. From where we are located, guests can make excursions by bike or by foot, visit nearby villages, participate various courses including cooking, painting, yoga and meditation. The agriturismo Poggio a Poppi is also a perfect starting point to visit the main historic towns of Tuscany and Umbria: Florence, Arezzo, Siena, Cortona, Perugia.

Myself and my Wife were booked in here for a few days but we ended up staying 12 days because it was so fantastic!
Everything was just perfect. We were greeted with open arms by Mauro and Johanna who took over Poggio a Poppi last year and have turned it into a unique location!
The rooms are very very spacious and are clean and have perfect views of the local area. The breakfast buffet has all that one requires no matter type of food one requires, and it is all nearly local based. If you like you can also have an evening menu for an excellent price, and I would recommend this for everyone as Mauro is an absolutely wonderful cook, and he prepared us something new every evening, and it was all first class aided by some very tasty local wine.
The swimming pool area is incredible, and you have so much room to chill out.

This is a perfect location, if you want to relax and turn off for a few days or even weeks, and it is great area for hiking and sightseeing, there's even a very picturesque golf Club next door.

We highly recommend Poggio a Poppi to all types of Travelers

The Location: it is very close to Poppy which is convenient however there is nothing close to it so it gives a secluded feeling.
The room: Perfect rooms! our room was perfect we had an amazing patio that featured breathtaking views, especially in the morning time, it was cold outside but the room was heated and heated water made a perfect shower experience, with very nice beds as well a spacious closet.
The Hotel: the farm is full of amazing views from all different angles, with fantastic wildlife and nature, the dogs were extra my son didn't want to leave the place neither did we.
The Food: Did you know that Mauro is a chef? the dinner and breakfast we had were out of this world, oh my god Fiorentina steak they cooked is making me drool
The People: people make the place and I can't thank Mauro, Johanna, and Anotnio enough for making this stay the best for my wife, son, and me. they were so accommodating and helpful as well as provided some pro tips.

I would love to spend more time when traveling to Italy again.
I wish i had more photos to share. but we were actually having fun.

My son and his wife got married in Poppi this past May. We had the great fortune to book our stay at Poggio a Poppi in Poppi Italy. Mauro and Johanna were able to reserve the entire villa for family members and I was able to host a fabulous welcome party on the property. The communication prior to arrival was consistent and stress free.
Upon arrival, we met Leo and Mauro and they met all our needs with genuine warmth and enthusiasm.
Mauro and staff created delicious, abundant meals upon request. At breakfast, guests were greeted by Antonio and he made sure the morning coffee and cappuccino were served timely and always with a smile. The breakfast exceeded all expectations.
While the online pictures are beautiful, in person every room décor and setting is truly breathtaking.
Mauro and Leo are extremely flexible and so much fun to work with. Our stay at Poggio a Poppi enhanced our joyful occasion because of the exceptional hospitality of Mauro and Leo and their staff.
Mille Grazie!!

My wife and I have been very fortunate over the past 50 years to travel to some wonderful places. From Presidential suites to a one bedroom cabin just heated with a fireplace. For the past 15 years we have been traveling to Italy, every year except for Covid of course. From the gorgeous Belmond Caruso in Ravello to Poggio a Poppi in Tuscany. If you are fortunate enough to be in the Poppi area you must stay at this simple but unbelievable Agriturismo. It’s the simple pleasures of fresh eggs, homemade pasta, with, truffles, sausage and cream . House wine. Just picked strawberries with mascarpone cream. This is Italy at its finest. Mauro,Antonio and Leo are the perfect hosts.

We have just spend 2 weeks in poggio a Poppi with our two kids and grandparents. The agritourismo is situated just in front of the lovely village of Poppi with a magnificent view on the castle of Poppi ( definitely worth seeing). The appartements are large and nicely renovated with a well equipped kitchen ( dishwasher:)).The breakfast is very authentic and fresh and the pool is wonderful. Every night we admired the stunning view on the village of poppy. But which makes the place even more special are Beatrice and Marco who gave us great advise on restaurants and excursions in the rather unknown region of the toscana. Beatrice also makes wonderful dinners. Both of them are really helpful, hardworking and lead this agritourismo with passion. After a long excursion, be it to arrezzo, la verna or cortona, it always feeled like coming home. We definitely recommend this place to families who wish to discover a authentic region of the Toscana, Beatrice and marco will make your stay special.

We have stayed at Poggio for a week in august and loved every second of our stay. The apartments were even better as we expected. Spacious, clean and very stylish.

The owners, Gino and Silvana, treated us like family. Since my wife cooks on a regular basis on a commercial level, she took several cooking courses while I enjoyed some nice glasses of wine and nice conversations about food (and life) with the cooks.

Our 2 young boys (age 5 and 8) enjoyed themselves at the swimming pool. Due to the location, located quite high on the top of a hill, the nights were nice and cool whereas the days were baking hot.

We really liked to just relax at the agriturismo and enjoy the lazy atmosphere. The location however is perfect for day trips to some nice cities such as Florence and Arezzo as well.

We will certainly return and, as promised to Gino and Silvana, have a special Tuscan-Vietnamese style cooking night. Mmm looking forward to that already.

Dear Gino and Silvana, many thanks for the lovely time at your place. We miss you and the delicious pastas. We'll be seeing you in a couple of summers.

Lots of love from Utrecht, The Netherlands
Maarten & Hong (Rosa)

We spent one night as a base to explore La Verna the next day. For that purpose, it was a little remote, but not unpleasant as the drive was very scenic. The room was pretty, clean, and with a wonderful view of the hill town's castle. We ate dinner there, which was a good idea because it was relaxing and kept us from having to drive in the hills at night. The food was rustic Tuscan: bread salad, potato ravioli, roast. The host was friendly and very helpful. Dog index: 7. A cheerful resident spaniel.

Beatrice & Marco are doing a great job! The Agriturismo is well looked after. The gardens, pool area abd adjacent fields are in great condition. The rooms spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is fresh and appetizing. The coffee freshly made. The location is stunning, quiet. A lovely place to relax but also ideal for excursions. Perfect in any season. Ideal in autumn when there are less tourists!

We were a company who stayed one weekend to celebrate a birthday. Everything was so good! The venue was located on a hill with an amazing view. All the rooms are different, we stayed in the room called Romeo and Juliette. A lovely room with a nice view. The bathroom was fresh and modern.
There was a pool area, really nice. And all meals we had was served in the garden.
The food was delicious and everything was fresh and nicely cooked. The breakfast was also really good with local specialities.
Beatrice and her husband made this stay so special and fantastic for all of us. They arranged both wine tasting and truffle hunting in the area. Exciting activities!

We will definitely come back and we can highly recommend it!

I had never heard of Poppi!! 4 of us were invited to a wedding for Australian friends. My daughter inlaw found Poggio a Poppi with her research, it looked nice and reasonably priced so we booked 2 rooms. This property is amazing!!!!! I only wish we had stayed longer!! The young lady 'Bear' was extremely welcoming and efficient. The villa is decorated beautifully to Tuscan flavour and has obviously been recently renovated to high quality. Our two massive bedrooms had large ensuites, very comfortable beds, views to Poppi, lovely Italian furniture, even under floor heating. The grounds are well manicured and there are views in every direction, the pool area is beautifully set up for sun and relaxing and they have a pizza oven and patio. The estate has a wonderful rural feel with national parks and forests on one side and farmland on the other, you can hear the farm animals as you observe the rolling Tuscan hills. The breakfast was amazing!! We were there at the low season and along with us 4 there was only 1 other couple staying, nothing was held back from us, the breakfast buffet was full and the attention to detail throughout our stay was very much appreciated. It was a stay we will remember for ever. Our son and his wife came from London and my husband and I came from Melbourne, Australia....Now we know where Poppi is, thank you!!
