We had stayed at this establishment previously so we had an idea of what to expect and Diane & Martin did not disappoint. The breakfasts are always a treat. Special mention for gingerbread waffles this time. The hosts are good company and the house is a joy to be in.

My wife and I spent two nights at this beautifully renovated B&B. Diane & Martin are most accommodating hosts. Breakfasts are homemade and delicious and are served along with interesting conversation about the house, the area and the Maritimes in general. We had the Carriage Room which had a private bathroom across the hall which posed no great inconvenience. Everything...

A handy and attractive location for a visit to Halifax, warm and friendly hosts, good-sized comfortable rooms, good beds, very generous breakfasts with homemade baking; it's all there. We enjoyed our three nights at Martin and Diane's, and you will too.

This truly felt like visiting family. A warm welcome, in a charming, clean, beautifully decorated home, built in the 1800's. Beds are very comfortable, and the rooms are well equipped. A walk across the road takes you to a beautiful setting right by the water. FANTASTIC breakfasts!!!! Please open up a restaurant!!! 10/10!

Very well run B&B, House has been painstakingly renovated. Room was spacious, as was bathroom. Plenty of electrical outlets for charging phones and laptops. Breakfasts were amazing, included homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. Were offered extra baked goods to take with us each morning.

During our holiday in U.S.A/Canada we stayed in 14 properties. some claimed to be 5 star. Honestly, I think sometimes these were self awarded. This property was the real deal. Martin and Deanne are great hosts, and while the 4 poster bed with canopy was a bit over the top and claustrophobic we appreciated this renovated property. Breakfast was pure...

This was our first B&B experience. It was a beautiful home and breakfast was tasty. Bed was comfy and really enjoyed chatting with the owners after breakfast. Take-away snacks were provided which I thought was a nice touch. I liked being able to come and go as we pleased. Only way it would have been better was if the bathroom...

We stayed two nights here and we're completely amazed. The house was very quiet and relaxing. The breakfast both days were amazing, unique and tastes, and got little treats as well. They have nice sitting area that is nice to read and play chess. Nice to be outside Halifax but still close enough.
