We stayed two nights while visiting the area to walk the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Nice and comfortable without being anything special. You can book a return shuttle from the hotel to the Crossing which is handy. We got a GrabOne deal online, which was $269 for two people for two nights accommodation, two continental breakfasts, shuttle to the Crossing and...

This hotel is brilliant if you are planning on doing the Tongariro Crossing. It is close to the Crossing and provides a minibus service at a cost of $35 which is reasonable considering the service they provide in dropping you off and picking you up and the driver provides a really good insight into what to expect prior to everyone...

I arrived at Hotel Ruapehu and had little expectation of what I would find here. With no other restaurant in visible sight, my family decided to have our dinner at the restaurant in this hotel. We ordered scotch fillet, chicken curry with rice and Naan and 2 kids meals and what a surprise to find the food was cooked to such...

A great place to stay if you are considering doing the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked the two day package that included the transfer to the trail and a packed lunch. They even called over to the rental place for us to make sure they stayed open long enough for us to rent...

We booked 2 nights for the skiing weekend. The place is very clean and the furniture is new. The kitchen is well equipped. The food in the restaurant is also very tasty, we dined there twice. The service is also very good. After we arrived, the window in the bathroom was not closing properly and the lady from the reception...

We stayed here a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I made a mistake in booking this time around and we ended up at a different place! But we just had to come back to the restaurant as the first time we ate here left such an impression on my mind. We were not disappointed. The service...

This was my second visit to National Park Village. The Park Hotel was a no brainer - value for money; the staff were welcoming and ready to help with any requests. My room was clean and a very comfortable bed...just the thing after doing The Crossing.

Dropped in with a party of 7 on a busy Saturday night in middle of skis season. the place was very busy, but they went away and found us a table in an over flow dining room. (we had earlier tried to get in to another restaurant in the village, but had been told "good luck finding a table". We...

Loved the room and the staff. Nothing flash but everything was done well. The manager was very lovely Jayjay. She was super helpful. The rooms are really cost and great for a family of four, or a bunch of friends staying together.

When the Park first opened it settled itself as an upmarket backpackers but has since moved further upmarket. It offers nice rooms, a nice bar, decent food at a good price point. The location is also perfect for a range of outdoor activities. Staff are super friendly. The TV in the room didn't have sky TV so I couldn't watch...
