We travelled down to the swift S pod in coldstream on Monday the 20th June. We arrived about 330, the email said we couldn't check in until 4 however our pod was ready so the reception gave us our keys and a map, she then laughed and said "no idea why I've given you a map you're pod is literally just there" as she pointed to the other side of the barrier however I felt it was a nice touch! We were in pod 11. It was amazing! We had a lovely balcony and a big couch, fully fitted kitchen and dining area. Bathroom was lovely and clean but unfortunately the tap in the sink was very aggressive everytime we turned it on. Our bed was upstairs in the roof top which was two single beds pushed together however still pretty comfortable. The hot tub was lovely and warm each time we used it however (no fault of the holiday park) but was covered with flies! A lovely touch by the holiday park was a book filled with information on the park and surrounding area aswell as some menus for the restaurants available. I loved that there was amenities too provided such as dish towel/washing up liquid/extra bin bags/sponge/shampoo and shower gel

The area itself was really nice and we had fantastic weather which was a bonus. We were a 10 minute walk into the town which had a co-op a few pubs and cafes and a few restaurants/takeaways too. I recommend doing the hersel walks too. There's 4 walks within the vicinity however it does warn you that you need to pay to park your car so we walked down the to the area which was roughly a 20min walk. There was a tea room that we didn't try as we brought lunch and ate on the benches. There was a museum there too which were free to explore.

WOW....trust the reviews, this place is amazing. Stayed in a 6 berth pod with hot tub, no.14 beautiful, comfy beds, cosy, immaculate. Owners have thought of everything, very well laid out, plenty plug sockets which is rare 😅 i can't fault it, superb. Hot tub bit small for 4 adults but we managed to get in and still had a ball. On checkout we booked for next year along with a caravan and 4 berth pod so the whole family can go and enjoy it too. 10 min walk into town, fantastic, don't need to drive, can enjoy a wine with your lunch 😀 Hirsell Estate, beautiful walk and lunch, would highly recommend. So nice to go somewhere that has everything and so much information provided, didn't have to ask about anything. So excited to go back. This place will not disappoint

We stayed in the S-pod 6 with hot tub. The pod is immaculate, it’s got seating on the veranda, bedding and towels all provided too and the owners have thought of everything that you may need on arrival, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, coffee sugar etc. The setting of the site is beautiful, it is right next to a main road but not noisy at all. The s pod was comfortable and designed for 6 people however I think it would be quite cramped with 6 staying in it as there aren’t any separate rooms, it’s all open plan. The main sleeping area is very small and you can’t stand up in the mezzanine level that it’s on however the bed is comfy and cosy. Perfect for a romantic week away. The hot tub was great to relax in after a hectic day.

We had a problem with a door handle in the pod however it was fixed within hours by the maintenance team. Very friendly and helpful staff.

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing time away this is the perfect place. Highly recommended and we would definitely return,

The site it’s self is a 15 minute walk to a Coldstream where we found lots of great places to walk, lovely restaurants and bars.

A lovely site easy to find and reception and staff really welcoming and friendly. It was clean and tidy throughout (apart from amenities block which I will mention later) and a warden on hand after hours who very kindly brought us logs for our fire pit when our Lidl ones didn’t light!!

The area is beautiful and quiet apart from the odd lorry rumble but this wasn’t an issue for us. Coldstream itself is a 10 min stroll and has a fantastic children’s play park. There’s a co-op for supplies. There are lovely river walks too. The only let down was out of three pubs on a Friday night, two stopped serving food at 5pm and the other pub was a bit spit and sawdust.
Kelso a 10 min drive in the opposite direction which is a must to visit with lots of places to eat.

We stayed in the tent field and this was a good location and I had EHU and there were drinking water pipes dotted about a big plus! Friends stayed in a basic pod which had a bunk bed m, double sofa bed and heating including underfloor! It was amazing value for the price paid and I was rather jealous trudging back to my tent at night ..!!

I have written a few points which for the site managers to take on board so the experience could be made better for those staying in tents or pods without a bathroom.

This is because they were only cleaned twice a day and so during daytime use, got quite dirty. Yes there was cleaning products but the mop to clean the floor in the shower was dirty and not good quality so was useless really. There were only a handful of people in tents so when at full capacity this would be an issue so far more frequent cleaning is a must. Also the showers were just like those in a swimming pool ie, after 60 seconds you had to press the button and the water was a trickle and luke warm. The whole block was cold inside and the tiny heaters gave our little warmth. I didn’t mention this during our stay as it wasn’t a major concern but did put me off using the shower for a second time.

Absolutely everything else was great. The pot wash room was good - a fridge/freezer and a few microwaves in this area would be a great addition. There is a laundry room and I didn’t use it but looked well equipped.

Overall we all enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others for the price and the area.

We arrived on Sunday 29th of May to a friendly check in.assistant. We were allocated a pitch number with no electric so we went back to reception to be told that is what we booked. My husband brought up his email which clearly stated that we had booked an electric hook up. The lady was adament we had not even though we had it in black and white. She was adament we had not paid for it, even though their system does not allow you to pay anymore. She said we could have electric for six nights but would have to move to none electric on Sat 4th June. We said why could they not just plug in with a double adaptor but she did not give us a response. We said that swapping to none electric was not an option so she offered us a pod for the final night ( stupidly we agreed) we should have stood our ground and on refection moving to an unserviced pod required packing up and unpacking again so just as much inconvenience to us. As this was a busy week it happened to many other guests as well throughout the week. People were put in pitches beside static caravans and it was like spagetti junction with wires ran cross roads to enable people to hook up. These wires were not secure and broke every health and safety rule in the book as caravans...motor homes and cars drove over the unprotected wires and they were a trip hazard. They need to sort out their booking system as it will only get worse as the height of the season approaches. Our neighbours on pitch 8 had an email stating electric was 14 pounds for the week but when they rang to pay they were told it was okay. There is something sadly wrong with the booking system. The block was nice and clean but by Wednesday it was very busy, as they only have two showers and two toilets and a disabled in each of the males and females. It is nice and handy for Coldstream and a fairly quiet and tranquil site and as stated clean and all nice and new. We decided to get a refund for the final night rather than fuss about which spoiled our holiday as it was the warmest day of our break.

Hi Nicola, I am sorry your stay was not everything you were expecting. Its a new site and the last week has been the busiest period we have had yet, we appreciate your feedback so we can improve for the future. I have been working on the booking system today so these issues do not happen again and it is more clear exactly what is included with allocated pitches. Thanks again, from the team at Coldstream

Booked for 3 nights in the Mega Pod with hot tub. The pod was clean and there was enough space for the 2 of us. Little kitchenette, double bed and sofa with toilet/shower. They provided washing up liquid, sponge, extra bin bag which was a nice added touch as not all self catering places do this. One thing I would suggest is adding a few hooks to the back of the door just for towels/coats.

The hot tub was lovely, although it was small, definitely not a standard size. Only suitable for X2 people. There is a sofa bed in the pod but not sure how more than X2 people are fitting in the hot tub, unless you’re sat on each others knees. But it was nice and warm and didn’t take long to get to temperature.

It is a 10 minute walk into Coldstream village, with option of pubs & takeaways. Overall it’s a nice little place and the people are friendly, good spot for a relaxing break.

Booked a 3 night stay in a megapod 2 with hoseasons, on arrival was over the moon when we saw it, it was spotless and everything there we needed as a couple, thought we may have felt differently if there were more than 2 of us. Took our little dog Milo with us and he loved it, it would have been 5 stars but the bed was really bad for us, my husband and I are both in bad health and the bed was far too soft, so much so that after 2 nights we packed up and came home. My daughter hired a diamond caravan and it was gorgeous and she had PROPER BEDS in both bedrooms and paid less than us, I would definitely go back but only in a caravan due to the bed.

Caravan was spotless , lovely and clean in fact it looked new.however I chose a 6 berth even though there was only 2 of us as we like space . Don’t know how 6 would have managed the table only sat 4 and you even had to pull it right out away from the window to sit 4 , thus blocking the rest of the caravan . The tv was very small mire like a monitor, we go out all day sight seeing but like to chill watching tv at night , wasn’t a smart tv so couldn’t even log in to our own tv channels . It said Wi-Fi was included , thus was terrible you no sooner connected then it was disconnecting, couldn’t even steam to a tablet . Towards the end of the week no internet was even available 🤷‍♀️. Nothing to do on site , no pub or anywhere to eat . There was a laundrette on site but at £10 for 1.5 hours , no thank you , even an iron was extra 🤷‍♀️. Definitely wouldn’t return here

We are sorry that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. We do not have a pub or restaurant onsite as there are good pubs and eateries in the town, only a short walk from the park. This information is available to all guests on our website when they are looking to book with us. Regrettably, the WiFi issues were due to a BT outage around the town of Coldstream.

It’s a new site and still learning. It’s great for a night or two’s stop off at the moment. The village is lovely, walking distance and has a Co-op.
They plan phase two which will include a park. The pitches are too close together, not a lot of grass, once an awning was out you’re at the limit, no room to play or sit outside of it. And no specified area to leave the car. The shower was awful, I did question it but no response after it was checked and no change. It only has two toilets and showers per gender plus a disabled so expect a queue on busy days.

This site is spotless and very close walking distance to the town of Coldstream.
We stayed in a basic pod with our son and dog. It was spotlessly clean and had a really comfortable sofa bed and bunk beds. The under floor heating was a bit confusing to use, but heated up instantly when we needed it. When I say 'basic', I mean it has no amenities in it....no fridge, kettle or microwave, which we've had in every other pod we've stayed in. But, we knew this in advance and there were 2 microwaves and 2 small fridge freezers in the pot wash area. We mostly ate out and a friend was with us with a camper van and he made us all dinner one night.
The pods are obviously very new, if not brand new and the site has other specs of pods, lodges and caravans also, we just hadn't booked early enough to get one. There's no shop on site and the reasoning behind this is fantastic. The site owner wants to bring business to the town and encourage people into the town to use its amenities. Couple of nice pubs, cafés, takeaways and a well stocked Co-op. Have also heard that there's another expansion being planned.
The ONLY thing that I would say that 'needs attention' are the showers in the amenity block. They're really not fit for purpose. Poor pressure and flood the whole area and they're tiny. There are a couple of new toilet/showers at the back of this block and they were far superior to the main ones.
All in all, we had a fantastic few days and would highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back.

Hi June, Thank you so much for your review, we are glad you enjoyed your stay. As a relatively new site feedback is really important to us and helps other customers as well. We appreciate your comments about the toilet block, although this is only two years old we are already planning to replace it with a new block in 2024/25. We are also having mains water pumps installed on site to help with the pressure, these should be operating in the next few weeks. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Many thanks from all the team.
