After a long day walking the costal path arriving at Ashdale was a welcome sight. Greeted by Edith's warm smile and Roy's jokes. My room was loverly, fresh and clean with kettle and condiments. I had a great peaceful nights sleep. I had a full English breakfast wich was lush!! With fresh eggs layed by the chickens I was entertained...

We've been back and fore Ashdale for many years and have always been greatly welcomed by both Roy & Edith. There is car parking available. Its great seeing the ducks and chickens as you walk to the door. The rooms are spotlessly cleaned and are spacious. Tea and coffee available in room which was topped up daily. The beds are...

I have been staying at Ashdale since 2000 and have found it most satisfactory every year. Roy is an impressive chef and I enjoy the fresh eggs. Edith makes you feel at home right away. I am usually in a single room overlooking the coast and sleep well with the distant roar of the waves. Two large towels are always...

This is a small guest house with welcoming hosts but it fails in many areas. The whole place is run down, within an overgrown and unattractive plot. Our room was a twin with a balcony but this, too, was in need of major repair. We shared a tiny shower room, that also housed the only upstairs loo. The shower cubicle...
