Thank you Bananarama for our second amazing vacation with you)! This is a small friendly resort with rustic rooms that have great porches to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening nightcap. The Bananarama dive shop is second to none. Thank you to Marco, Zoe and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of my husband. The fact that expats with homes in West Bay come to this dive shop to dive speaks volumes about their professionalism and attention to people that dive with them. The Thirsty Turtle is the place for food and drinks in West Bay! The wait staff took very good care of us and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal we had there! So many people from other resorts stop in at the Turtle to enjoy the happy hour drink specials. Make sure you try the fish fingers or the brick oven pizza while enjoying your drinks. Also the BEST rum punch in West Bay. A special thank you to Carolina - we love you!!! Can't forget Derry and Sandra. You guys are awesome! We found Bananarama when we first arrived on a cruise ship in 2011. Since then the three of us have been coming back to the island and to Bananarama Dive and Beach Resort and nowhere else.. Sometimes twice a year. The owners, staff and group have become extended family.. Perfect for those who want to "get away".. No phones or tv in the rooms. All rooms minutes, if not seconds from the most wonderful beach I have seen and I have been all over the Caribbean . We fell in love the island and the people.. They loved us back by inscribing our names in the back of three chairs at the bar / restaurant. During this pandemic, the island shut down!! This left the folks on the island with no income since the entire economy is based on tourism and hospitality. The folks at BR have not forgotten their employees during these trying times and have been sending food and essentials to them and their families.. Once the island reopens, Please come down and enjoy their friendship and hospitality..…

We took a tour when we got off a ship and were taken to Bananarama. After checking trip advisor on what to eat I seen coconut shrimps were highly rated. We ordered some margarita and chilled in the sunshine. The prawns were incredible so glad we tried them. We took our snorkels and spent a few hours on the beach at the front of here and had a great day. Free WiFi and music and drinks on the beach don't miss this place!

We just want to thank Banarama so much for our recent stay!!! It is a simple yet beautiful property with amazing people! Janelle and the front office ladies, Israel and the bartenders, Keevin and Carol and the whole service staff (some names forgotten, sorry!), Dishone, everybody... you were just the best all the way through! To our wonderful housekeeping ladies, thank you! We arrived just before the pandemic declaration and then as the country went into marshal law and into the flight cancellation phase. Thanks to Janelle and Mike for doing what you could for the guests through it all and then for pushing us out the door and out to the airport for that last Transat flight! Thank you to all of you for taking us into your family and helping us feel safe and taken care of, even through your own stresses! And through all that, as long as we were allowed, the diving was amazing and safe and many thanks to Marko and Emma and the DMs and boat captains(again, sorry, some names forgotten, I'm old haha)! And not to forget the Bulldog guys on the beach and the entry... love you guys, thank you, and keep safe through all this! When we got to the airport and knew we were leaving, we sat and felt so thankful and yet so, so sad to be leaving. This is our 3rd time staying at Bananarama. Check-in and out was very seamless. We were in room 16 and love the close location to the beach. The room has a kitchen which is nice to use for quickie snacks. We ate at The Thirsty Turtle several times for dinner and were always very pleased. We also enjoyed their included breakfast every morning. Dishon has done a great job managing the restaurant! It's always very clean and runs very smoothly! Huge thank you's to the cleaning staff that helped to keep our room in tip top shape everyday! The beach guys also deserve a big shout-out as they always ensured we had beach chairs and umbrella and would always adjust the direction of the umbrella to help keep us out of the hot sun! And a huge THANK YOU in general to the entire resort and staff for helping to keep us safe and sane during our extended stay while the borders were closed due to the Covid-19 virus. We will absolutely be back again in 2021. Wishing the entire staff and island stay safe during this time and hope that you are back up and running at full capacity in no time!!!…

Hi, the dive shop at Bananarama will show you a reef map of the reef right in front of the resort. They have set buoys that line a path from the beach to the main reef area. From there you can go along the reef on your own, keeping the buoys in sight to guide you back to the beach. There are other snorkelers out doing their own thing but it is comforting knowing that they are near by. You can access the map on line if you want to start reviewing ahead of time to gain familiarity.
