If you ever drive down the baja peninsula this place will be your saving grace. It's in the middle of nowhere but has all the amenities of a mid range hotel. It gets pretty busy during the holidays and the bar gets pretty packed. The rooms are basic but in this part of baja they feel luxurious!

Old school type hotel. Looks like nothing much ever changes. Will constructed clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly. There is a pool in the interior courtyard. No gas available here except for the roadside vendors and they are really expensive. The hotel has a small shop for the things you forget

The staff are friendly and the service is good. Room was ice cold as we checked in. Lots of space in the room for baggage and the beds were very comfortable for people who do not like extra soft beds. Clean room, lots of water pressure. This hotel is located a fast 6.5 hour drive from the border, or 8...

Luxury is relative and in Baja California, Mexico this is luxury. The restaurant is good with a large menu for such an isolated place. On Highway 1 480 km (300 miles) south of the border so it's a convenient stop on a trip south.

The hotel is a true gem in the middle of a desert. Catavina looks like another planet, with rocks and a variety of cactus. The hotel looks great and nice, and each room has very good pressured hot showers and AC. I had the best margarita in the hotel bar. The restaurant has fresh and great tasting food. The hotel...

The resort offers comfortable rooms, a pool and hand crafted Margaritas. The Restaurant serves really good meals. The city is tiny but has amazing Giant Cactus making a beautiful desert scene visible from the hotel room's windows. Nearby ancient cave drawings are worth the short walk.

Clean and basic, no frill hotel and restaurant in the middle of the desert. Fairly expensive given there is no WI-FI, refrigerator or coffee maker. Supply and demand, next nice hotel is 1 hour and 30 further north.

In the Catavina Boulder fields and boojum forest of central Baja N there aren't many places to stay in a lovely hotel. This place with a fountain, pool, large rooms, hot showers, courtyards, a game room (pool table!) and a restaurant is a welcome reprieve if you've been roughing it or driving a lot. Reasonable prices, decent restaurant and a...

Good Mexican decor. Good food. Nice rooms. Nearby cardone & boojum forest. Short power outages as they switch from solar power to generator and visa versa. Has a nice courtyard behind the hotel. Restaurant very effective in serving small groups in conjunction with bus groups.
