A friendly family owned guesthouse run by Pauline and Lindsay since 2021 in a quiet highland village just north of Pitlochry and close to the famous Blair Castle home of the Atholl Highlanders. All rooms are en-suite with colour TV and courtesy coffee/tea tray. Charming guests' lounge (with a real fire if it's chilly) and breakfast served by your hosts personally in our spacious conservatory breakfast room. We also have a charming self-catering Garden Lodge with its own patio, garden and private parking.

Recently Stayed at The Firs and was Not Disappointed. Pauline and Lindsay were Outstanding Hosts. I had come down From Aviemore by train and Lindsay was there to Pick up My Luggage and take back to the Firs and give some Great Advice on where to Eat, and places to visit while in Blair Atholl, I very Much Appreciated this as this gave me most of the Afternoon to Explore Blair Castle. Pauline was Wonderful Each Morning, Providing a Good Breakfast to Start the Day and a Friendly Smile. The Firs is in a Centrally located position near Some Great Restaurants such As the Loft house Restaurant, and the Tualach, with the Bothy Bar A brisk 10 minutes walk next to the Railway Station. For those Looking to Get Out and About without a car, Blair Castle is just a 10 minutes walk. For those Hikers and Walkers I Suggest you visit the Falls of Bruar. This walk can be done through the Blair Castle Estate taking you to the Falls, again a little over a 90 minute hike but worth the Views and Beauty of the Landscape. Pauline and Lindsay i Can’t thank you Enough For a Wonderful Visit to Blair Atholl and The Firs Guest House. I Look Forward to a Future Visit.…

This was our second stay at The Firs and we had an excellent time. The rooms are spotless, the choice and quality of the breakfast is first class and Pauline and Lindsay are fantastic hosts. The Loft restaurant is excellent as is the Blair Atholl Golf Club. There are lots of different walks to do in the area and with Pitlochry being only a few miles away there is lots to do and see there too.

My husband and I have just returned home after a visit to Blair Atholl and a two night stay at The Firs. We had read many excellent reviews before booking, and as a result had high expectations! Those expectations were not only met, but exceeded. As our train arrived in Blair Atholl several hours before check in time, Lindsay very kindly offered to meet us at the station to take our bags back to the guest house; a gesture we greatly appreciated! When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Lindsay and Pauline, who immediately made us feel incredibly welcome. We were shown the beautiful residents' lounge and breakfast conservatory before being taken upstairs to our bedroom - a lovely spacious room, exquisitely decorated with calm sage green and cream panelled walls and top quality William Morris bedding and fluffy white towels. The room had a definite Arts and Crafts movement feel, with beautiful artwork and accessories. The room was equipped with two comfortable chairs, a small table, flat screen TV, fridge, hairdryer, kettle, fresh milk in a mini bottle (refilled whenever required), high quality teabags, coffee bags, hot chocolate and biscuits - (which were all delicious!) - a wardrobe, bedside tables and lights. Big fluffy pillows, comfortable, spacious large double bed plus a single bed, which would make the room perfect for a small family as well as a couple. The modern and pristine ensuite included luxury shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and hand cream and shower cap, plus a heated towel rail and illuminated mirror! Everything was immaculately clean. An iron and ironing board were available on request, along with top-ups of fresh milk. Replacement teas etc were readily available in the hall. Breakfast choice was huge! The welcome information pack includes the menu, and we were asked to put our requests for our breakfast in a box in the hall the evening before. We had no problem doing this whatsoever, fully appreciating that this would help Lindsay and Pauline, especially as it was explained that some items like porridge need to be prepared the night before. Breakfast was absolutely outstanding. Top quality, fresh, often local ingredients, even home made jam, made from their own home grown plums! A choice of fresh fruit, luxury yoghurts, butter, fresh fruit juice, a choice of cafetiere or instant coffee, a choice of teas, warm pastries, toast, cereals plus a huge variety of cooked options! Lindsay and Pauline were excellent hosts, so friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. They chatted with their guests, and the dining conservatory had a lovely atmosphere. As guests came in for breakfast, we greeted each other, and everyone had glowing testimonials for their stay at The Firs. Lindsay and Pauline were so lovely, we were greeted by hosts, and left as friends. Lindsay even delivered our bags to the station later in the morning, ready for our journey home. Talk about going the extra mile! Absolutely the best B&B experience we have ever had. Five stars! Thank you so much, both of you. We will be back! Xx …

I have bee tardy in replying to your private message as I was struck down by Covid two days after you had left! Turning the corner now and feeling much better, but would you mind re-sending that link? So good of you to offer to feedback on my very humble artistic endeavours! Friends indeed! The Fir B & B is a little bit of heaven in Blair Athloll. The furnishings are lovely the bed are so comfortable. The icing on the top are Lindsey and Pauline. They are the most gracious hosts with wit and a wealth of information. The breakfasts are delicious with fresh gorgeous eggs and all the Scotish fixings, great coffee and tea. The bathrooms have wonderful water pressue and toasty warm. We were there during off season but found plenty to do in the area. The B&B is an easy walk into the village for dinner or a pub. We stayed in one night and played cards with a roaring fire and wee drams that we bought earlier in the day. Highly recommend a visit to this B &B and the area.

Upon arrival Lindsay and Pauline's welcome feel right at home. The room was a bit small but clean and cute. It also had an ensuite bathroom that included a shower but no bath. (No problem for us as we prefer showers.) The afternoon we arrived we chose our breakfast from their menu. Very comfortable bed and we slept well. Breakfast the 2 mornings we were there were delicious. Both of our hosts were very friendly and knowledgeable on many subjects especially the area and Scottish history. We wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend.
