Detailed Reviews
This was a last minute decision to go on holiday for a week and our first proper holiday since 2019. The house is spotlessly clean and well-furnished. Great attention to detail. Lindsay and Pauline are great hosts. They took my gluten-free and dairy-free diet in their stride and made sure that I had a good selection for breakfast even going so far as to provide me with a separate toaster! They know the area well and were able to advise on good places to visit. The location is quiet and very close to a good Italian restaurant in the village, where we ate three times (booking advised) and found that they were able to cope with my dietary requirements without fuss.

Lindsay and Pauline what can i say but apart from being first class totally amazing and the most loveliest people we have ever met any one who finds you searching for a place to stay are the luckiest people on this earth.
You are both so kind and very helpful please never sell your selves short from the minute we arrived yous were very kind showing us to our room which was lovely with everything we needed and if it was not there you made sure it was ,
breakfast was fabulous with plenty of variety we where fed like kings, my poached eggs where spot on and to top it off you where so kind when my family came to visit knowing you did us an evening meal you also allowed them to stay for it too, which was very enjoyable fish new potatoes and peas then strawberries and Lindsay's home made ice-cream for afterwards.
I would not hesitate to recommend this little gem of a place to anyone and if your reading this review trust me just book it and experience what we had you wont be disappointed.
thank you to Lindsay and Pauline for making our holiday extra special (we will be back)

We had a 4 night stay at The Firs in Blair Atholl in August 2021 and had a great time. Lindsay and Pauline were fantastic hosts, very accommodating and are a lovely couple. We stayed in a family room which was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast choices were amazing and Pauline was even able to cater for our request for omelettes which were simply divine.
Lindsay and Pauline are putting a lot of effort into renovating inside and out and this will only enhance what is already a fabulous guest house. We are already looking forward to our next stay as we will definitely be back in the future.

This was our first short break since the start of Covid-19. Lindsay and Pauline's attention to Covid-19 regulations made my wife and I feel very safe and comfortable during our three night stay. Both Pauline and Lindsay are lovely people who went out of their way to make our stay both enjoyable and relaxing - just what we needed. They are currently renovating some of the rooms and Pauline kindly showed us the progress and changes they are making. This will only make a great guest house even better. We are both looking forward to returning to see Pauline and Lindsay and the results of the completed renovations.

Deciding to break a tiring journey back from Arran we decided to stay in Blair Atholl discovering this lovely quiet B&B. Pauline and Lindsay were more than welcoming and put us in the spacious Garden Cottage. Which had a perfect fully stocked Self Catering unit. And an excellent spacious shower room. We ate in a recommended restaurant in nearby Pitlochry. Unlucky with the weather but very well looked after as my partner is Vegan and this proved no obstacle to a great breakfast of Fresh Fruits and also a cooked breakfast of hash browns Mushrooms and Tomatoes. All the rooms were full and all the other guests were from other European countries!
We've noted this for another visit with more time and would hope to book the Cottage again.
Not all B&Bs go out of their way to make sure all goes so well. Many thanks. Andrew and Nuria.

Had a great stay at The Firs after being stranded on the A9 due to weather. Lindsay and Pauline could not have been more accommodating offering us soup and toasties on our arrival at 8pm. Our room was very comfortable and spotless and breakfast next morning was fantastic with a great choice to suit anyone. Would definitely recommend this place to stay.

We don’t get to review guests but if we did it’d be 5 stars for it was a real pleasure to be able to put you up when the road closed. We’d hated refusing others (we can’t take dogs, allergy reasons) but you were then so pleasant, so understanding and so uncomplaining about our boiler issues, now fixed, which meant we had to rush to plug in heaters. It did help to find we had things in common. We’d love to see you again, especially without having to sit virtually on top of a heater….

We visited Blair Atholl during our 'let's celebrate 50 years of friendhip' trip to Scotland and had a two night stay at The Firs. When we arrived by train, we were greeted warmly by Lindsay, who immediately made us feel very welcome. Being from the Continent, we really enjoyed the spacious room and its 'classic scottish' set-up. Our room was equipped with a double plus a single bed with big and cozy pillows and duvets. Everything was immaculately clean.
Breakfast was great. Everything came as ordered the night before (which is absolutely fine so Pauline & Lindsay have time to prepare and nothing gets wasted) Top quality, fresh, local, home made jam & yoghurts, great coffee and a smoked fish whose name I forgot but that was absolutely outstanding.
Lindsay and Pauline are excellent hosts, very friendly and helpful and really interested in their guests in a very lovely manner.
Other reviers have mentioned the extra mile, and that is absolutely true. A truly great B&B experience. Highly recommended, would come again. Thank you very much

The Fir B & B is a little bit of heaven in Blair Athloll. The furnishings are lovely the bed are so comfortable. The icing on the top are Lindsey and Pauline. They are the most gracious hosts with wit and a wealth of information. The breakfasts are delicious with fresh gorgeous eggs and all the Scotish fixings, great coffee and tea. The bathrooms have wonderful water pressue and toasty warm. We were there during off season but found plenty to do in the area. The B&B is an easy walk into the village for dinner or a pub. We stayed in one night and played cards with a roaring fire and wee drams that we bought earlier in the day. Highly recommend a visit to this B &B and the area.

+1
Recently Stayed at The Firs and was Not Disappointed. Pauline and Lindsay were Outstanding Hosts. I had come down From Aviemore by train and Lindsay was there to Pick up My Luggage and take back to the Firs and give some Great Advice on where to Eat, and places to visit while in Blair Atholl, I very Much Appreciated this as this gave me most of the Afternoon to Explore Blair Castle. Pauline was Wonderful Each Morning, Providing a Good Breakfast to Start the Day and a Friendly Smile. The Firs is in a Centrally located position near Some Great Restaurants such As the Loft house Restaurant, and the Tualach, with the Bothy Bar A brisk 10 minutes walk next to the Railway Station. For those Looking to Get Out and About without a car, Blair Castle is just a 10 minutes walk. For those Hikers and Walkers I Suggest you visit the Falls of Bruar. This walk can be done through the Blair Castle Estate taking you to the Falls, again a little over a 90 minute hike but worth the Views and Beauty of the Landscape. Pauline and Lindsay i Can’t thank you Enough For a Wonderful Visit to Blair Atholl and The Firs Guest House. I Look Forward to a Future Visit.

Pauline and Lindsay gave us such a warm welcome. Our bedroom and en-suite was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, as was the rest of the house. Breakfast was great - a lovely refreshing change for vegetarians to be catered to with as much thought and care as the meat-eaters, and we were full to the gunnels every morning! We’d recommend them to everyone and we’ll definitely be back.
