We had a wonderful time at MET! The people there were amazing and made us feel like were were part of the family, the food incredible and the lodge was beautiful! Hearing all the animals roaming around at night was so much fun! We had a guided trip into Caracol that was perfect followed by swimming in the Rio On...

Family of 5. The horseback riding is very well run. Professional. Great lodge and dining experience. Definitely feels like you're in the jungle but without compromising on comfort. Recommend taking the horses to the nearby adventures. Recommended upto 4 nights.

I brought my college-aged niece on this horseback riding trip and we both had an amazing week! The food was excellent, fresh, delicious, plentiful, and accommodated my lactose intolerant diet (and another guest's gluten free diet). We love Blanca and Marta, who live in a nearby village and cook for the ranch. Owners Jim and Marguertie and other family members...

After all the wonderful reviews, I booked a 5 nights stay for my family and was very excited about our visit. We left disappointed. There were some high points. Unfortunately, the low points marred our experience. First, the high points. The rides were wonderful. Rigo and his son Junior were cheerful, knowledgeable, and wonderful guides. We loved them. We rode...

I'm so sorry you were disappointed. All I can say is, we tried. We really did. It was your choice to move from a nice room to one that hadn't been used in awhile and you didn't give staff time to prepare. We tried to accommodate all your requests. And yes, activities need to be carefully planned in advance. Thank...

Beautiful all the way around. This is an amazing destination and great way to see the jungle-- many different birds, butterflies (great butterfly farm across the road), cool plants, etc. We never saw an actual howler monkey, but heard them and saw their leftover "pods" on our porch (from the fruit trees above.) The family who owns the resort is...

“This is not a traditional hotel, but a ranch with a cantina and a handful of cabanos, or bungalows.”

“Cottages are basic but clean and nice. No air conditioning or electricity but during our stay we didn't need it. Beds were fair, clean but not as comfortable as many. Windows & porch views are worth a mint. Rooms are lite with kerosene lamps - so harder to read by with bugs who are attracted to the lights. Not a place where you live in the rooms anyway because there is so much to see outside!”

“The casitas have en suite bathroom/shower, each bed has a mosquito net. Very roomy. These are open air rooms, so some "wildlife" may join you, such as some very cool insects. All the casitas are nicely secluded and a short walk to the main meeting area. Nice porch with chairs. Can't say that any of the casitas are "better" than any others... all are quite nice.”
