Just excellent. Clean, contemporary property. The interior looks very calming that it makes you feel comfortable to stay in. The staff was really nice and helpful. We loved the lounge where we could have a cup of tea or coffee, read papers, have meals, or just to chill and watch tv. The property is close to bus stops to city and Bondi beach, and it takes only around 5-minute bus ride to get to the beach and Bondi Junction. We would love to stay here again when in Sydney. Cheers!

I’ve been several times in Sydney and the baxley is by far my newfavorite place away from home.
You can easily meet people there, but you can also have your quietness .
Special mention to Emily, she was really helpful!

The only negative part was that you are supposed to get some discounts at local restaurants/shops just for being a guest there. In my case I went to the pizzeria they recommend to be told that the % was agreed years ago and it was no longer valid, this was confirmed by the owner.

We had a great stay at the Baxley. We booked the compact double room with shared facilities. I never thought I’d be able to give a guest house with shared facilities but they were excellent. You get assigned a bathroom to your room (has a shower and toilet) however if it is in use you can use another bathroom. Always clean - lovely smelling shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
We were able to check in earlier than the stated check in time online which was a great help.
The only downfall (not their fault) is the parking. It is situated on a road which has unlimited street parking however whilst we were there it was parked up with the same cars. We fortunately managed to get parked a couple of minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed in premium ensuite queen room for 3 nights. Room smelled like a men's gym bag full of weeks-old dirty socks. Kept the obnoxiously loud bathroom fan on when we weren't in the room, but it did nothing to address the stench, so it's clearly a persistent issue.

Room is tiny -- so tiny there is no closet and there's hardly floor space for 2 open suitcases. Any dresses or longer clothes will be blocking the fridge door.

Room wasn't cleaned once. When we alerted the front desk, they said the cleaning staff had left, so there was nothing they could do.

So many better options at this price point!

I visited The Baxley Bondi recently. It is a small, modern, boutique hotel. The rooms and facilities are clean, small and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. Easy access to Bondi beach.

Highly recommended!

Best place to stay in Bondi! Convenient distance from Bondi beach. Facility exceeded expectations, friendly and accommodating staff, very clean and modern. Walking distance from nearby cafes and restaurants such as Totti’s. Can’t recommend enough.

This is a charming little boutique hotel. My daughter and I shared a queen room with a private bathroom. The room was rather small, but had enough area for us to store our clothes. Bathroom was also small but clean. A little far from the beach, but the bus stop was close.

The staff and venue at The Baxley are both friendly and inviting. The hotel is immaculate, with a clean and minimalist coastal aesthetic, heavily accented with tropical plants. We had a queen en suite room, but the best way to save cost is by taking advantage of shared bathroom options, which are plentiful and pristine.

Absolutely loved staying here this weekend! The staff were lovely, the amenities were amazing and the rooms and shared bathrooms were clean and very tasteful. The only thing that wasn’t ideal was that the walls are very thin and so we could hear people talking in their rooms and watching movies. The lounge area with complimentary coffee was perfect and the Baxley’s location was also great. Thanks for having us! Will be back!

Daniella - such a star review, thank-you! We really appreciate all our guests taking the time to review their stay as it gives us such important insight into how we can improve. Glad you too found the location suitable being that 50/50 between the beach, Bondi Junction Shopping Centre and our local train station; Bondi Junction. Thanks again, all the best and hope to see you in the near future! Will pass on to the team!

Staff or owners were super friendly.
So noisy could even hear everyone’s ringtones, people talking in the two rooms to either side, every door that opened and closed at all hours of the day and night.
