Do not stay if you hope to get any sleep. We were prepared somewhat, knowing there was a bar downstairs, but we were literally right above the outdoor party area and it was like the party was in our room. Conveniently, the air con unit was sooo loud it served to drown out a lot of the screeching noise downstairs. The room itself was basic, only crockery for 1 person(double room booked for 2 people), no milk for the coffee, bathroom with a badly dripping tap and broken mouldy tiles. Reception guy let us store bags in a cupboard as we arrived early but he wasn't very friendly. Bar downstairs was obviously where they spend all the money. Large, spacious and clean. Wouldn't stay again but would visit the bar

Nice huge downstairs room and still has music upstairs. Limited drink range and very high prices - maybe it's Bondi but the brewery bar right across from the beach is much cheaper for better stuff. Hell, the trendy gin bar nearby is cheaper. No phone reception inside this bunker of a building and the wifi didn't work.

I love the Beach Rd Hotel as a pub, but recently a friend of mine booked a room to stay there and it was beyond a joke.

It was filthy, it smelt, and it wasn't even that cheap.

Seriously, if you are thinking of staying here, I would honestly think about crashing on the beach, or on a park bench before staying here.

But go to Beach Rd Hotel for food, and a drink as it is one of the coolest places in Bondi!!!!

This security guard told me to leave after telling me to not dance once in the night and then kicked out 5 minutes later for just standing up (without a drink FYI). I only stood up to help my friend when she was experiencing unwanted attention from a man who was standing up for at least 20 minutes straight and received no warnings from the security guard. Then for that I get kicked out and approached by the manager.
My experience here was horrendous and the staff were extremely rude, pushy and sexist towards me. I would not recommend this place and will not be paying another visit ever again.

I’ve stayed in a lot of ordinary rooms whilst travelling but this room topped them all. A forced open window allowing rain to pour into room the entire time. Worst beds I’ve ever slept on, no running hot water, a bucket for a bin, no blankets just bed covers used for warmth. Location is awesome and the bar downstairs is really
Good, as was the food. But, would not stay here again !!!! We did appreciate the price though.

Hi Beach road, this was one of the worst and rudest experiences of my life. I cannot believe the treatment that was given to me as a valued customer. I was shocked by how rude the manager of the night was to myself as a customer, I merely entered the line and was screamed at to immediately leave. I understand the restitutions due to COVID but this was beyond belief, no valued customer should be treated like this. I would never ever use the beach road ever again they were so rude and I can’t believe my treatment.

Went for lunch with kids on a Monday lunchtime and was told we had to sit out the back because we had two kids with us. The place was empty - the rude staff said it was 'licensing'. Never heard this at a hotel in Australia before. Won't be returning.

Had heard that this place is a good time and made the trip from Manly with a fellow 23 year old friend just to come to this establishment. We went out for dinner and had a couple glasses of wine. We then went up and I got let in but my friend was not let in after being asked how many drinks she had and telling them three, because the security guy “could tell by her eyes she was lying” which she was not. We asked to speak to another bouncer or manager or to be provided with a real reason as to why she wasn’t being let in and we were denied and shoved out of the building. As two young women we are not prone to argue with authority but this was clearly someone on a power trip as he then let in a group of much younger, stumbling girls. Will not speak well of this establishment nor will I ever recommend it.

My friends and I went in for the big Wednesday party. We got in, some of the others went upstairs but my sister and I went to get a drink and stayed downstairs to chat for a bit. 10 minutes after we got in there, the bouncer came over to me and asked for ID. I showed it to him, and he then asked how much I'd had to drink that night. I said I had two drinks before coming there... He said "You seem intoxicated" and I said I wasn't and I was just standing there talking not behaving in any bad way... He said "don't be smart, it's time for you to go home" and kicked me out where another guy was watching me like I was some kind of criminal. My sister was standing on the other side of the glass door just wondering what had happened... I told the guy on the other side that they had kicked me out and humiliated me for no reason, and that I wanted my money back for the drink I just bought and had taken off me. He was also treating me like rubbish and trying to ignore me for a while then went in there without a word and came back with my money. You guys can't just kick out everyone you want for no reason, that's no way to treat a customer just cause your bouncers want to feel macho. I won't be coming back to this horrible place and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, cause your night might be ruined all of a sudden

On a very pleasant trip to Sydney from Scotland. Found all the Aussies so friendly except here. Sought out this sports bar specifically to watch Australia netball World Cup final match on screen since it is being held in their very own city of Sydney. Asked 2 bar attendants if it was possible to screen it since they had 10 screens showing various sport. We bought drinks and sat and waited. We asked once again 30 minutes later.
Manager came over and told us that "if you get off your seats you would see it is on a screen in another part of the bar but it's not the number one sport here and we are a real bar."
It was both what she said and the incredibly aggressively way she spoke to us. We thought it was a nice place. Shame about the attitude of the staff. We left immediately quite stunned by her rudeness.
Found another bar where we watched it and were treated with friendly courtesy .

We do endeavor to cater to all with the sports we show, and are very sorry that you didn’t get the option to watch your chosen sport on your chosen screen.
