Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’m glad I did not read the trip advisor reviews before we stayed here. We have an amazing room, clean, with a view of the lake from the living area and the bathroom. We just had dinner here and it was delicious. 6 course meal was included when you book half board. The vegetable lasagna was the best I have ever tasted. My husband had a wonderful rack of lamb and I had baked Tyrol cheese. I wish we were staying for more than one night.

This place scared me. I felt as if I was in a backwoods redneck hillbilly motel set in the movie Deliverance. Avoid this place at all costs. The staff was rude and threatening. I actually feared for the safety of my wife and me. The lake and mountains were beautiful as the Dolomites should be. The place was dirty and unsanitary. They actually passed off dirty used lines and towels as clean. When I complained I was threatened in broken English and a rant in German. We left. Actually ran out. You’ve been warned if you decide to stay here.

The staff was very rude and unwelcoming. We felt intimidated during our entire stay. There are many beautiful hotels not far away we will try one of them next time. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I have booked a stay with the possibility of refund for 2 for a five night stay this November but we couldn't go so we canceled the booking the owner asked for our Iban and afterwards he said that for the end of the month of October we will be refunded.. He didn't afterwards he said he will refund us anytime and we still didn't receive our refund.. He doesn't answer anymore to our emails and he closes the phone as soon as we tell him who we are.

What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting by the lake and in the mountains of the Dolomites region! Our biggest mistake was not staying longer! The hotel rooms are extremely beautiful, modern timber chalet style. Each room has lake views. The package includes breakfast and dinner which were both delicious. I understand we went in the quieter months of October, however our only disappointment was the lack of staff and service for check in, check out, dinner and drinks. This was a shame as I am sure we would have purchased more drinks and interacted with staff, unfortunately we just felt as though we were in the way.

Super friendly and professional staff, spotless, comfortable and smart facilities, beautiful food. They even made a special vegetarian and vegan menu for me and my lady. The surroundings are breathtaking, whether you watch it from the scenic balcony view, big bathroom window opening to the green waters of the lake, or when hiking around. Definitely a place to return to.

Our most recent visit to the Seehaus was my husband's and my second visit. We love the inns location with its stunning moutain and lake views, numerous hiking trails, and overall casual and fun environment. During this visit we had a forest view room. Our room was spacious with a small balcony. The room featured spacious hanging and shelf space, a table and stools, a sofa and coffee table, a large bed, TV, telephone, shower, and in-room safe. We again got half-board as the breakfast buffet with eggs to order as well as the dinner menu is fabulous. Food service is a little slow as, in my opinion, additional help could be used.

Amazing stay. Wish we could have stayed for longer. Hotel fees include breakfast and dinner and the dinner is an amazing 5 courses! New hotel situated right on the lake. Absolutely beautiful. P. S. If you are driving from Austria, don't do what we did and followed the GPS. The road from Austria to Italy to hotel seehaus is only open in the summer so u just gotta drive south a little more. It's definitely worth it!

Nice rooms, and spectacular location right on the lake, up near the northern end, high in the Dolomites. We had half board which included breakfast and dinner. Food was all good, but they are quite strict for dinner as to when you eat and where you sit. If you're OK with that, you'll enjoy the experience. Take a walk around the perimeter of the lake, it's worth the walk for about an hour. A short drive to nearby Brunico is worth the trip. This is a very beautiful part of Italy, and not too crowded - in summer at least.
