We have just spent a week at this hotel and are still shocked at how bad the food was. Minestrone soup, for example, was a tin of mixed vegs floating in a bowl of hot water. No seasoning or taste. Sunday lunch was two slices of meat (?) , two broccoli florets and a tablespoon of courgettes that tasted as...

Loved the decoration - old fashioned, but I didn't see that as a bad thing. However the hotel was set on the towns busiest road - and it didn't get any quieter in an evening which was problematic for sleeping and a nightmare to cross. I wouldn't advise going half board as the portions are very small and sometimes hard...

A family run hotel so staff were willing and doubled up on roles. An early 20th century, old fashioned feel to the place but rooms had all the modern needs. Nice location close to Lake Garda so handy for boat trips. The dining room was incredibly noisy when full. The food was quite decent but nothing extra special. There is...

Although in an ideal location very near the lake and a good overall first impression, the food let this hotel down. We travelled as a couple on a coach tour and compared to the previous hotel we stayed in we were pleasantly surprised on arrival. The check in was orderly and the room was habitable. The staff were reasonably polite...

We stayed at the Hotel for two nights as part of a coach party. The first thing that strikes you is the decor which might be old fashioned, but was an excellent reminder of, perhaps, the Art Nouveau style. Our room was attractive, with a balcony. It was clean and well equipped. We had a choice of menu and the...

The outside of the hotel was pleasant. Breakfast was ok, but the evening meal wasn't up to 4* standard. The staff were pleasant, but worked long hours. The owner, an elderly gentleman was always in the background. It's a shame because the location is perfect and if some money was spent on it to update it what a gem it...

Awful experience, never again....go elsewhere. Hotel old, certainly not worthy of 4*. Unhelpful staff, tired old rooms, food average, drinks ridiculously over priced...we just wanted to come home. Other reviews say the opposite to our experience....maybe these people haven't been in a 4*hotel.....don't waste your money.

We arrived here in August 2015. The receptionist that helped us, wasn't in a good mood because she was still working at 7.30pm, but normally had to quit at 5pm. So we couldn't ask her about the region for extra information. She brought us to our room and this was a small, but clean room. Bathroom is also very small,...

When we arrived to the hotel, the sorroundings of it and the hotel itself was really nice. Then when you enter it really is a faded and dated hotel as someone wrote below. The room was clean and cosy, but the equipment of it was really old and used, the A/C was in terrible condition and dirty. When we set...

We stayed at Hotel Maderno late June/early July, overall a fantastic holiday The hotel is dated in parts, saying that there are some beautiful features, especially the dining room, excellent cleaniness throught-out, Staff are very helpful an attentive. The pool was very quiet during our stay, pretty much had it to ourselves and it was kept beautifully clean each day,...
