We were booked in to the Van Belle in September, two young women, as part of a cheap Groupon deal. Given the mixed reviews we were cautious, but the taxi driver warned us not to walk around the area at night and to watch our handbags (pickpockets); this Hotel reception was being renovated, not a huge issue, the lift was...

Rating based on my 1-night stay in old part of hotel and my expectation that it was a 2-star accomodation (perhaps new wing warrants 3-star rating). All I hoped for was cleanliness, decent comfort, a good shower, friendly staff and convenience (to walk to the main attractions and then to my train in the morning). Bingo. I declined to see...

We upgraded to a new room 304, very nice but tea and coffee facilities would have been nice. Not a good area, a no go area to the right of the hotel. Taxi driver warned us do not go after dark there. 10 min walk to the centre but avoid side streets. A lot of men in groups, was a...

States for four days. Liked breakfasts, clean room. Good and understanding, kind staff. The neighbourhood represents Brussels' multinational and cosmopolit state but at least safe. I had some questions regarding the hotel but i think it is good and clean plase to stay having low budget.

The room was very clean, modern and big enough. Good size. Booking was realy flexible. We were able to stay for another night spontaneously at the same room. The second night was even cheaper. A bit of a walk to the next metro/train station. But doable. Fast connection to the city of Amsterdam. Very friendly staff.

The reception under construction. The furniture was very old and cracked, bathroom very old, carpet very old, everything was 20-30 years old and used. The area full of arabic people. Close to the center (1km). Breakfast decent taking into consideration the rest of things. Parking has only 4or5 spots and costs 12 euro per day. I think you can find...

It's a 3* hotel, but the reception was under construction ( a very bad area to see ). The are where it's located, is not so acceptable, but indeed 15 min to walk to the city center. The breakfast is good but not good enough

The area itself is really rough so I was apprehensive on the way. When we got there, we found a building site. They are currently doing up the outside of the building. Unfortunately the inside hasn't seen as much as a lick of paint in about 10 years. My skin started itching from dust as soon as I walked in....

The location was perfect! Just 10 minutes from midi station and 15 minutes from the city center. In my opinion the Wifi should be free. They asked 5 euros per day. That was unacceptable. But general is a good choice for 2-3 nights.
