Stopped here back in July. We loved it. The bar staff were brilliant. The cocktails they made were some of the best we've ever had. They use plastic glasses around the pool but not cheap flimsy ones they are decent sized plastic glasses. Food is great. They have themed nights most nights doing foods from around the world. These range from very good to amazing. Restaurant is busy for evening meal but not horrendous. If you cant find a seat the staff will find you one within a few minutes. Restaurant is kept tidy. Staff always cleaning up. Loads of choice. Lunch time is more chilled. You can use the main restaurant or they have an outdoor restaurant. The food choice there is more limited and a little repetitive there but still plenty of choice. And it's a nice alternative to the main restaurant and closer to the beach. Breakfast probably as the least choice but still plenty to go at. You won't get a full English though haha. The one thing I did think was poor was the cereals. They were all very sugary and aimed at kids. If you do go let me tell you the toaster isn't broken. People put their arms inside to get toast out and you can burn yourself doing it. It was then I realised you can pull a tray out which brings your toast out. They really need a sign explaining this as most didn't know. Rooms were OK. A little dated but clean and tidy enough. Pool is great. Don't need to get up early to reserve beds. That being said I wouldnt leave it much past 9 before putting your towels out. Grounds are tidy and clean. There's a few bars to go at but we liked the one in the main reception best. It's got a bit of class about it and the quietest one. Great for having a nice drink before your evening meal or at the end of the night. The one near the pool is the busiest but you don't wait much longer than 5 mins and the staff work hard there in the heat so give them a break and be patient. The worst bar is the one on the beach. If you want beer or or soft drinks that's OK but don't expect much else.
The beach is OK but you can't walk barefoot on it. The one thing we loved was the pier at the beach. Amazingly it wasn't busy. Plenty of beds and a nice breeze and you can jump off the pier into sea which kids absolutely love. They have ladders as well if you don't want to jump.
The staff from the spa can be a little pushy but they've got a job to do. They are nice enough. We actually used the spa and it was really good and would definitely recommend it. You'd pay a lot more back home.
Overall we loved our time here and took home some great memories .

Upon arriving At mukarnas spa hotel the lobby and outside looks very much the 5* hotel. Beautiful and can tell a lot of money has been spent.

The bellboy was straight out to collect the bags and make sure you didn’t lift a finger check in was easy at 1am in the morning straight to the room.

Cases arrived within 10 mins and the room was small but comfortable and exactly what we paid for.

Pools were amazing during our stay loved them , slides good & everything seemed to be going smoothly.

Shout out to OZCAN,AHMET & MEHMET!! fantastic with my children arabella & Milana

Now here comes the parts I personally didn’t really like / enjoy as much.

1. Some of the entertainment shows are mediocre at best and half the amphitheater left during the performance as it’s very much rinse and repeat each week, but didn’t effect my view on the hotel.

2. Only one single & one double inflatable for the largest slide in the hotel this means the que’s get pretty annoying waiting 15/20 mins to get a float then you get the odd guest that just walk right past you and try to grab the inflatable (no one controlling this either) had a few arguments with rude people (the hotels around that were seen from my balcony had 8 singles & 8 doubles for there slides)

3. The food was a let down for my British taste buds but the hotel does cater for 26 nationalities so I can’t exactly fully blame them . I am just a fussy eater so that’s more my problem but some more British dishes would be welcomed.

4. Most lights in the corridors are out it didn’t effect me personally for walking / visibility but for a 5* establishment I would have a maintenance team checking stuff like this and making sure everything is tip top.

5. Heated indoor pool seems heated some days & some days it’s not so I genuinely don’t know what’s going on there.

6. AC in my room was ice cold like early morning / early afternoon then even after it being set on 10 degrees It would just blow out hot air !! Reported 3
Times guy came once then just never came back kept speaking to reception who kept saying maintenance would come but nothing happened and we ended up sleeping with balcony door wide open.

Overall I would say the hotel is maybe more a 4 star to be honest & there will be much better hotels in Turkey but I can also imagine there are much worse also.

Would I stay again maybe in the future purely for
The staff members they run about daft 24/7 and some of the bar men were fantastic with us & our children. maids were amazing !! & everyone else generally helped at every turn.

Many of my points detailed above will honestly help the hotels view of being 5*.

Firstly the good points:
Hotel is well looked after, clean & gardens well maintained
Staff are all very hard working & friendly
Plenty to keep everyone entertained
Rooms massive, mini bar stocked daily
Excellent for kids, the animation team are brilliant & work super hard
Lots of food choices from the main restaurants and snack bars

Bad points:
Had to practically beg for a bottle of water for my 5 year old on arrival well after midnight after a long journey & transfer (Antalya airport was a nightmare on arrival & departure)
Animation team go in on the hard sell of club t-shirts but then just ignore you when you try to exchange one to actually fit your child!
You have to pay by the hour to keep your room on check out day even though you don’t use your room for the whole day you arrival
Drinks are in tiny plastic cups which in 38 degree heat lasts about 3 seconds.

OTHER GUESTS - oh my god I had my eyes opened, clearly covids a distant memory to most…. Hardly anyone from what I observed used the hand gel provided everywhere by the hotel staff, most people just ignored them and walked on by.
Found some of the guests extremely rude, letting their feral children do what they wanted, touching all the food with their hands and not using the utensils when prompted by staff. Adults taking over the kiddie pool and taking kids inflatables of them to then give to their children…. Erm hello? Go to the store like the rest of us!! Nobody queues for anything regardless of the fact you’ve just stood ages for the lift, they just walk in from outside right past you and take the lift. The food waste is disgusting, I’ll never understand why people pile their plates so high to then just leave it??
Watched a family let their child urinate in the drain which runs along the side of the swimming pool rather than just take the kid to the bathroom??!
Witnessed 2 poo’s in two of the adult swimming pools, just made my stomach churn, the pools were closed to be cleaned though. If your kid ain’t toilet trained get a swimming nappy on!!

All in all we did have a lovely week away in the sunshine.

We are a family of 4 that have high expectations and was very apprehensive about visiting as we had read some bad reviews about a sickness bug at the hotel. It even got to the point of not wanting to go. We travelled 5Aug-12Aug and didn't experience any illness or problems at all and never heard anyone talk about a bug. I think sometimes people over do it on All inclusives and suffer the consequences. Please don't let any bad review put you off from going. Everyone we spoke to was having an amazing time like we were.

Hotel Grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The pool was exceptionally clean. Every night the pool was thoroughly cleaned. We reserved a sunbed at 7am each day and about half the beds were taken. We always got 4 beds at 7am so no need to get up at 5/6am.

The main buffet restaurant and snack bars was exceptional. There was show cooking on every meal time with a huge variety catering for every need - Omelettes, pasta, waffles, flat breads, roast lamb, chicken, beef, chips and plentiful salad and vegetables. Every member of staff in the restaurant, snack bars take a pride in their job. They are very hardworking, friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
There were gloves provided to handle utensils if wanted to wear them and staff offering handgel when entering the restaurant. It was spotless. There was never a dirty table in site and the waiters were straight there getting your drinks. The service was top class. Credit to all the staff at Mukarnas.

Beach was pebble so definitely need beach shoes. Nice to swim in the sea aswel.
The beach foam party was fun and alot of effort went into the drinks at the beach bar.

Day trip to Alanya - we caught the local bus to Alanya. 5euros eachway for a family of 4. Bus stop outside the hotel and took 1hr. We visited the castle via cable cars which was 20euros for the family. There was a market there but a market also visits every Fri opposite the hotel which is well worth visiting it's there all day.

All shops/markets want euros I wouldn't recommend to take Lira.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return to the hotel in the future and wouldn't hesitate recommending it.

Wow, where do I start.... what an amazing 7 nights in this hotel. This was the first ever time we had visited Turkey and we will defo be back.

We arrived early hours and we had booked a family room, we were given a free upgrade to a family room with pool/sea view, which was amazing. Every night we could watch the beautiful sunset! Room was very spacious and immaculately clean with all amenities needed.

The pool was amazing for kids and they loved the slides , don’t get me wrong the main pool was freezing but it never stopped us getting in and once you were in and kept moving around it was fine. The area around  the pool was spotless and a few times when I had visited the toilets at the pool bar they were being cleaned or had just been cleaned and they were regularly cleaned throughout the day.

The choice of the food was amazing, so much to choose from and different themed nights, the restaurant was again spotless and the waiters/waitresses were very quick to mop up any spillages within the food hall and also any crumbs dropped in the seating area. We found the further away you sat from food hall was a little quieter however by the time you sat down some of your food may have cooled a little so we started to sit a little closer and this was much better. The only negative would be that some people don’t know the meaning of the word ‘queue’ as people would just push in when you had queued but that was no fault of the hotel just rude people.

Bar staff were amazing in particular Sebastian and Ahmed who worked in the pool bar, they were amazing and would like to make a special mention to these 2 as they looked after me and my little family all week, so hope they get the recognition they deserve.

We never took part in any of the daytime activities but there was always plenty of things going on and encouraging for you to take part beside the pool. The only negative regarding the night time entertainment would be that there didn’t seem to be a lot, mini disco at 9pm and then a show at 9.30pm and sometimes it was over by 10.10pm. Just felt that if there was a show in the amphi theatre then why not have some music playing or something else in the pool bar, just as an alternative.

On our last day we had to check out by 12pm and we had hoped we were able to perhaps keep the room or have an alternative room to shower in etc as we weren’t getting picked up to go to airport till 7.15pm however after visiting reception they said no we couldn’t as it was a family room, which I do I understand however an alternative room wasn’t even offered even just a double, we didn’t want to sleep just shower and change.

Overall our first trip to Turkey and the Mukarnas resort and spa did not disappoint..... we have loved the experience and will definitely recommend to any of our friends and family and visit ourselves again.

Thanks for and amazing holiday!

Stayed at mukarnas resort end of April beginning of may 2023 honestly had the most amazing holiday, hotel/rooms are spotlessly clean, housekeeping service excellent the maid would leave animals made from towels on our beds almost everyday which my daughter (3) was excited to see each day when we came back to the room. All staff were absolutely amazing, nothing is too much to ask, always greet you with a friendly face, great with my daughter who can be shy but everyone was absolutely lovely even the maid who spoke limited English would make an effort which is really appreciated. Restaurant staff were incredibly efficient, if someone dropped a glass/plate they were immediately there cleaning it up so no injuries can be had. Can’t fault them whatsoever they work really hard morning to night and it shows. We didnt watch any of the entertainment only the kids disco which my daughter looked forward to every night she absolutely loved it! It was the same songs every night but we didn’t mind that as she got to learn all the dances etc over the week. Plenty of sun beds we were mainly around the kids pool, water was very cold but apart from that, it’s lovely. Lots of stuff to do in the day time mini club, basketball, amusement rides and arcade games inside, the trampolines we’re a big hit! All kids club staff the girls were lovely. The food at dinner times was slightly repetitive, but good quality none the less. As a big coffee lover and non alcohol drinker, the white coffee/flat white from the coffee machines was so good i must of had about 4/5 a day!! We had a two bedroom apartment which was lovely and spacious the only thing I will say and the reason I haven’t put 5 stars is that the second bedroom which me and my daughter were sleeping there was no window and with the air conditioning being switched off due to the time of the year, it got really stuffy at night time! I did mention to a member off staff about the air con but they just said it wasn’t hot enough for it to be switched on. The hotel ground were gorgeous, lots of palm trees and other plants, fountain, flowers and lights, it was very well maintained and looked amazing. If you’re interested in the fake brands (like we was) there is a bazaar about 5 minute walk up the road, which was quite expensive and they would pester you quite a bit, we realised that if you walk an extra 10-15 minutes in the same direction there was a market with shops upon shops of clothes, bags and everything else where we got loads of things from. All in all we loved it here. Thank you for a brilliant holiday wouldn’t definitely return to this hotel in the future

1 week stay at this very nice hotel. Hotel and grounds very nice rooms are standard. We upgraded to a sea view room on arrival I really recommend this you can see most of the outside grounds and the sea cost was 50 euro for the week. Food is more catered for other nationalities however extremely wide choice and I think most will find something always extremely well laid out and again would recommend the Turkish themed food night food was excellent. Breakfast is a little limited but omelette was my choice freshly made with your ingredients. Throughout the day there are multiple snack bars and these all serve very nice snacks. Myself and my wife had a massage on our 2nd day cost was £70 each well worth it for 2 hours of pampering. Scrub, sauna, massage Mehmet was great very nice guy thx buddy. Within the hotel you will be invited to a sit down with the in house guide/rep who will advise on local laws and general tips whilst in Turkey. His name was Abdullah and a very nice guy. He will also recommend trips etc… we choose to go on the jeep safari and boat trip. Total cost was £130 for both. Jeep safari was outstanding great day out you are driven into the mountains in convoy with about 7 more Jeep’s see local Turkey breathtaking views you stop off multiple times too scenic spots and waterfalls lovely. We also had multiple water fights with the other Jeep’s a great laugh honestly brilliant day out. Boat trip was a bit of a let down which is a shame. They take you out in a lovely boat to the sea which takes about 45 mins turn you around and then take you to a beach for an hour and then back to the start and on the buses for 4hrs of shopping not my thing. In summary great place to stay for 1 week there is nothing outside the hotel nearest town is approx 45 mins away so if you like going out for a walk not much to see. Final thing I would advise taking Euro as most things are in TL or Euro you can change your money out there. It’s easier to know how much you are paying in euro as it is close to GBP.

This is a beautiful hotel, excellent food and choice, outstanding service and very clean. The spa treatments are fabulous and good value too. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again so I will just point out some things to consider.
* this hotel is approx 60km from the airport which took 1.5 hours on a coach.
* this is a hotel holiday - it is on a dual carriage way with nothing within walking distance other than hot bazaars selling copies and souvenirs
* whilst it has some slides it is not an aqua park and the slides are open 10-12 and 2-5.
*The beach is pebbles not sand. It is stunning and great fun but no good for building sandcastles and aqua shoes are required.
* We found the evening entertainment hit and miss. The dancers and acrobats were good but the rest was poor. The pool party was good but there is very limited seating for anything that is not in the amphitheater. The evening mini disco was only really suitable for under 8s I’d say. Not much for our tweenies.
* The management do not enforce any kind of rules over sunbeds despite signs saying there is an after 8am rule. People were up at 6am reserving beds by the pool. There was usually always availability on the beach.
* This hotel is mostly frequented by Eastern Europeans and this is reflected in the food although there was always plain pasta with a tomato sauce, pizza, chips, soup and bread for our fussy kids. The vegetarian food is not labelled and the serving staff had little or no English to confirm what was in each dish.
* You can do a range of water activities at an additional cost on the hotels beach front: jet skiing, paragliding, banana boats etc. Prices seemed reasonable
* Kabanas were free and readily available

All in all we had a great first trip to Turkey

Overall experience of the hotel was pretty good, but there are some minor thingh here and there that do need some attention. First of all, the facilities were mostly nice looking, but some of them definitely need attention. Lobby looked fabulous, but it seemed that most of the budget had gone there, because the rooms were not so nice and an upgrade is definitely needed soon. Major problem of our room was that there were just two(!) available power sockets and those two were acctually occupied by TV and reading lamp. So our group, consisting of four people, had to manage with those two when we needed to charge our phones, earphones, laptops and smart watches. It was an absolute mess. Also some of the other facilities inside as well as outside should have an upgrade sooner rather than later. Gym is definitely one of those. They had dumbbells weighting 3kg and the next possible option was 15kg upwards. Nothing in between!
Food was good. Lots of different options during all times of the day. Service was incredible there, you just took your last bite and the used plate was already taken off your table by the incredibly efficient employees. Would suggest to try lunch outside in the snack bar. We enjoyed it there. Also the extra cost A la Carte dinner was worth it. Try that out! The whole stuff was unbelievably friendly, smiles and greetings everywhere. From room cleaners to barmen and even chefs prepping your omelette during breakfast. By the way the omelette was top notch, I do suggest that! Also the animators(entertainment team) were really really friendly, have to mention them for sure.
Now I will talk about some minor, but therefore not so pleasant things that occured. First of all we chose the hotel, because there was a tennise court which we were looking to use every day. When we first arrived on the court, the net was not even up. Then again those friendly animators helped us out and it was playable after they set it up, but far from good tennise court. Also they should put a registration schedule or something in place, because sometimes two groups of people wanted to play at the same time. Also if you look to play tennis, you should take your own racquets and balls. Again talking about tennis, but this time table tennis. They should make a small investment to buy some new racquets or even table, because it was very worn out. We really liked that the minibar in the room was filled up every single day with some pepsi and water. Last but not least to mention is that maybe it would be favorable if there are bit more fruits served during eating times, something more exciting than oranges and apples. After everything mentioned, we acctually had a pleasant stay!

Hotel is nice. Our room was cleaned everyday. Hand sanitizer was offered at all meal times. Food was fine but repetitive.
All staff we spoke to was lovely.
Downside the hotel has a request to ALL guests not to reserve sun beds before 8am. This was not the case as we quickly found out. We had to set our alarm at 5am everyday to go and put towels on the beds if you left it any later you wouldn’t get one. Loads of people reserved sun beds and didn’t use them all day! Young families could not get beds at all. I was told it was due to it being high season!
Two incidents of someone doing a “number 2 💩” in the pool. Observed the staff not telling every to get out of the pool immediately, then poured vats of chemical into the pool while people where still in it. Not confident the pool was shocked or treated correctly. This is pure speculation but may be contributing to the sickness bug.
