Hmm....Ms. Zapata couldn't have been nicer...my taxi was late arriving and she dropped everything and started up her car to take me to the airport! (....the taxi driver showed up as we were about to pull out! So kind of her!) My room was very clean but it's not a 'First World Hotel" The DR is basically a Third World...

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. My room was always cleaned and spotless. I love the feeling of the family run hotel. The food was amazing and always exactly what I wanted. The hotel is right on the beach which is also so clean and beautiful! I would recommend Hotel Zapata...

Very clean rooms. The managment was friendly, and had a very accommodating staff. They have overnight security that brings a feeling of safety. Rooms are small but are at a fair price. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed 2 nights, the room was dirty and out dated. There were little bugs everywhere. The owner and manager were very rude. They told us one price, then knocked on the door the following evening saying we owed $70 more. They said the wifi was free to all hotel guests, but when you logged in there was a five dollar...

A time of connecting with nature, with nurturing ourselves, and in compassion for others. 22 of us were there in March of this year, once again, for our work with the poor in the DR. Managers Cristina and Rob saw to every single detail we required without exception. This family run hotel is a gem in the midst of the...

Hotel Zapata was perfect for our trip. Took 5 adults and 9 teens on a trip to meet other teens. Marta and son Roberto were wonderful to our group. Felt safe and well cared for. The fried chicken for dinner is the best. Rooms comfortable. Nice accommodations for groups. Suites available for teens and chaperones to stay together.

We brought a group of 8 girls & 6 adults on a trip to build bridges for future service projects. We had 2-3rd floor rooms that connected and slept 8. We had another room that slept 4 more. The larger rooms had a small refrigerator & cooktop. We did not do any cooking while there. The connecting rooms had ocean...
