Just returned from a 2 night staycation at the Red Pump and cannot recommend this highly enough , we were seriously impressed all round . A lovely friendly Irish welcome on arrival from top bartender Ben ,( try his Guinness ) and we stayed in the Garden room which was lovely with a modern wet room , from what we saw all the rooms are lovely slightly different and depends whether you prefer a bath shower or wet room you can't go wrong they are all very nicely appointed with tea / coffee making , kettle and toiletries. The dinner was SUPERB both evenings , the steaks are superb , we had the fillet and sirloin both excellent served with proper fat chips , a good choice of creative starters , garlic mushrooms were lovely , second night i highly recommend the Dublin Seafood Chowder WOW , best chowder ever . The breakfasts are also divine , starters of Granola yogurt and fruit compote was lovely and followed by the traditional fare all of which was superb BUT you must try the roasted veg and cheese omelette , OMG how good was that , a flat style with roasted peppers tomato and aubergine slices covered in kick ass chedder !! A final thank you to all the wonderful friendly staff who really make you feel welcome , Jane , Helen and Ben . Thank you to the lovely owners Fran and top chef Jonathan for a wonderful stay which we highly recommend to all . We'll definitely be back…
We had a fantastic time at the Red Pump Inn which we visited as part of our week away in the delightful village of Bashall Eaves. The pub is lovely and cosy, and the food was delicious - especially the steaks! Would definitely visit again.
My wife and I stayed in one of the yurts on Saturday night to have a little break away from the kids! The yurt was extremely comfortable and decorated really well with plenty of amenities and in beautiful surroundings. We had a couple of drinks in the afternoon in the bar and then returned later to have a meal. The meal was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu, great food and great service, I have left a sperate review for food on the restaurant page on TripAdvisor. We had a very good night's sleep in our yurt and found the bed to be very comfortable. The next day we had breakfast, this was really nice with great service. We had a great night away and found all staff to be very friendly, helpful and efficient and will certainly be back again.
We stayed at the red pump inn for two nights over the bank holiday weekend. To attend the wedding of my daughter Ella and Arron . From the moment we arrived and all throughout the stay we all had the upmost hospitality from the owners Fran and Jonathan and all their staff .Everything was spot on from the home cooked evening meals in the restaurant- I can recommend the steak served with peppercorn sauce and also the sticky toffee pudding. Also the lovely full traditional breakfast in the morning. It was a pleasure staying there. The rooms were well appointed and lovely furnishings that complemented the room , the bathroom were spotless and clean. I felt very safe with the covid safety measures in place. So once again Thank you so much for an amazing weekend and stay at the red pump inn .…
Set in wonderful countryside, this is a delightful country inn run with great flair and charm. We stayed one night. Our room (Pendle Hill View) was very comfortable and we slept well. Dinner was excellent. We were in the main dining room and it was busy, but the room is spacious and one felt safe. We had pie and casserole. Well cooked and tasty. Very efficient and friendly service. There are Yurts in the grounds as well as rooms in the Inn. Highly recommended. Breakfast was spot on. It all felt very safe with the Covid precautions taken.
