Room was neat and tidy but was not aired before we entered so was stuffy initially. Nice spacious room but some maintenance needed. Plugs to charge phone/laptop not easily accessible. Selection made when booking was done included a "Good Breakfast" but two rusks and coffee does not qualify to me as a good breakfast. Detailed feedback sent to host but no response received as yet.

The service is outstanding at Rob's place. The facilities are basic but adequate. I asked for an iron and iron board and on our return that evening it was neatly placed in my room, ready for use. And during load shedding they had a generator running, which means I could get ready for the day.

Torn curtains, dirty blankets, overall unkept look, booked in at 19:00 by barefoot guy wearing torn t shirt and filthy jeans, spiders webs in corners, bedlamps not even plugged in and in 1 room no 2 point plug for bedlamps, mold in shower....place will NEVER see us again.

Stayed at this place on 12 Mach 2022. This was truly the worst place I have ever stayed in. at R550 per night I expected a lot better. No towels to dry your hands. No soap or shampoo, which I thought is a very basic thing to offer. No tea and coffee, I had to go ask for some. Aircon remote was R 25 extra which I think is absurd and have never experienced before. Getting help from staff was a nightmare and the level of English is so low that communication seemed to be a problem. No fans in room + the aircon did nothing to help with the heat. Booked a self catering room, that should have had a kitchen with stove. Did not receive that. Booked a room that sleeps 3, only got a room with double bed. But by far my biggest problem with this place was that they state, they have a generator for when the power goes off. The generator does not work, also the power went off twice. I honestly feel robed, so maybe the name does suit the experience. I would not recommend staying here at all, ever. Nothing but a terrible experience.…

I have nothing nice to say about Rob's place other than the gentleman who helped us and tried to make alternative arrangements for us on the night. Our bedding was dirty, the bath mat was still wet, there were no towels and then our door was locked from the inside and we could not get out. The "good" breakfast advertised were 2 apples, 2 yogurts and some cornflakes. Based on previous reviews about Rob's place, is the only reason we booked an overnight stay. Thank goodness it was only one night.
