This lodge is well off the beaten track. We took the transfer from the village. The main lodge building gives wonderful views. The tents are basic and clean. Lighting is poor. Meals were average and eaten as a large group. We ordered a light lunch which was poor value for money. We took a combo safari and boat trip which...

A nice camp that suffered from bad roads after the heavy rains the past weeks. It was only accessible by 4x4, but some other guests got stuck regardless. Fairly remote place with only little possibilities for activities. Nice Mokoro-drive, but no animals that day.

Visited both the Jackelberry camp and Nkasa. It is comfortable, clean and well maintained. It is very remote so it is best to arrange for pick up in the nearby town. It is best that you have in mind what activities you would like to enjoy, because they aren't all that helpful in arranging things for you. If you don't...

This is a nice camp, fairly large, in a beautiful location. The tents are comfortable and the food was great when we stayed there in December 2016. Driving to the camp can be tricky so it might be a good idea to leave the car at the village and request a transfer.

Nkasa Lupala was very remote. The road to get there was primitive and apparently changes constantly throughout the season. The owner, Simon indicated that he can't keep signs up because of the constant changes in the "good" path forward. We visited in mid-November 2016. This is the very end of the dry season and is considered to be the "shoulder...

Spent two nights of a boys trip here. Excellent ! Food good but more important host welcoming, friendly, informative and interesting. Area very very dry, large hippo concentrations in the few pools and the odd small group of dagga boys, birds in abundance ! the privacy and remoteness added to the sense of exclusivity. Good overall value and thoroughly enjoyed...

We loved the philosophy at Nkasa Lupala - relying on solar energy, conserving water - generally trying to leave as small an energy footprint as possible. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our ranger was excellent - telling us about all the small details en route to the river cruise - which was amazing. To see so many elephant and...
