The entire experience was very warm, the rooms are clean and nice, you get the village feeling and amazing view. It’s close to everything you need around. The manager was helpfull with anything we needed. Breakfast is nice and has local food. We had allot of fun it was a great experience. Very recommended!

We turned up after one of the hardest 18k walks we had ever done. Vasilis greeted us with the biggest smile and showed us to our room. Beautiful room and a terrace with views to die for. Anna made us the most amazing breakfast ever morning with loads to choose from. Vasilis couldn't have been more helpful and we will definitely be returning to such a special place.

The rooms in the upper separate house differ from the main buildings and are of poor quality. The look nice and are clean, but the mosquito nets in some windows have huge holes and insects come into the rooms. Some windows can not be opened since there is no netting at all. The toilets are not as stylish as in pictures and the water in the shower nearly spills out. When we requested for a compensation for these we got a discount, but the owner was not polite and said we were not nice guests.

A lovely, romantic place to stay for a hiking trip in Papigo. The owners deliver a beautiful breakfast each morning with a view of the Papigo Towers--during our visit, the offerings included freshly baked pastries, rice pudding, and a local cheese pie. They also helped us to plan our hikes and thoughtfully arranged for transportation. We had an amazing time in Vikos-Aoos thanks to the Saxonis Houses.

Classic charming hotel located in the quaint village of Papigo in the Zagorochoria region. Papigo is a great place to wander around and take photos in this picturesque part of the world. The Saxonis House is a small hotel with friendly owners. Rooms are very comfortable and complete with decor of the times. Great location to spend a couple of days while you explore other villages and things to see nearby. Traditional breakfast is included and there are several dining options in the village. Everything is walking distance.

a nice clean hotel with beautiful frontal view. very nice interesting dining room. the hotel is about 100 years old. there is a discrepancy between the public spaces and the room who seems clean but old fashion especially the bathroom. the staff is very polite and nice. worth the prize.

I can't believe this place has even one bad review, I thought it was amazing. It is perhaps a little basic if you are used to luxury hotels, but I would rather stay here any day. Things that are great: the rooms are really cozy, and the bed was comfy. The breakfast I enjoyed, with some traditional Greek cheese and jam pies. There was a room available for us to use in the evening, where we made a fire and chatted with the owner whilst the children played games. And Vasillis himself is a massive bonus, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I would absolutely come back and stay again.

My husband and I loved our stay at Saxonis Houses. We stayed for five nights and wished it had been ten. Vasilis and his wife are wonderful, first class hosts. Our room was pure magic and the breakfasts were divine. We will be highly recommending this place to anyone who wishes to visit one of the most stunning corners of Greece.

Vasilis and Anna were both helpful and friendly from when we arrived after walking the Vikos Gorge from Monadendri to when we left two days later feeling relaxed and refreshed. A lovely property in an amazing area with an endless supply of morning coffee and bonhomie! Excellent English which was very useful as my Greek runs out a little past ‘yassas’!
