The rooms and accommodations are unusual (it really is a chateau from the 1200s), but everything is comfortable (the bed was excellent), clean, interesting, and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful and the breakfast room was gorgeous. The connection with history, and the family stories from World War II made this perfect lodging for a trip to see the D Day...

Our family of 4 adults stayed in the 2 bedroom family room. It was very spacious and clean. The only downside was that we only had time for one night. The hosts were friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was superb! The Chateau is beautiful and unlike any place we have stayed. In the morning we made the short drive...

Stayed one night and had an excellent experience at the Chateau. Overall, I would highly recommend this B&B for a relaxing stay in a genuinely historic Chateau. From the moment you turn down the drive off the main road, you have the feeling of stepping back in time. This family owned and run chateau gives you the feel of being...

Ancient, eclectic, enormous! The main guest room has a secret window looking onto the chapel as well as two turreted entrance doors. Room was huge and the piano and violin examples of the individuality of this place. Relaxed breakfast. Hosts were very welcoming. There is a very nice restaurant about 1/3 mile away which is extremely useful. Not cheap, at...

We had a fantastic 3-day stay at the Chateau de Flottemanville! The couple (Francoise & Bertrand) that own the chateau are extremely welcoming. We stayed in the "room in the chateau." It is decorated with antiques and period furniture. It was like stepping into a fairytale. The private bathroom has been remodeled - it has a double sink and nice...

We stayed in the annex, the four of us, spread between three rooms. And we felt the same way about the grounds and the room as the other positive reviews, here. It's beautiful, the grounds are stunning, and it's very peaceful. For me, what really stuck out was the way that the things that should be rustic - like some...

A typical french chateau run by the owners with a bed and breakfast formula. The chateau is nestled in the charming village of Flottemanville, with a stunning entrance in front of the village church and cemetery, followed by a tree line alley that leads in the courtyard. It worths to stop a while looking at the particular architetture of the...

We stayed at Chateau de Flottemanville by chance, are were delighted. The owners were very friendly. We loved the Chateau. Our room was amazing - my husband and I stayed with two others and our dog, and we had our own little place that had two separate rooms and bathroom. It was great. In an amazing quiet location, off the...

We stayed here for a night on our way home. After trawling through the hotels in Cherbourg I stumbled across this and it did make all of the research worthwhile. We wanted somewhere with some space for children (3 and 18 months) after being cooped up in the car most of the day, with them in a separate room so...
