We stopped off for lunch on Saturday and I have to say it was so yummy and get value for money. It was fresh...plenty of it...and affordable. My mum would be hard to please and even she really enjoyed it. The staff were lovely...attentive...very pleasant. Will def go back again. Thank you.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 4nights with family and friends. The bedrooms were a good size and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful especially Damian ! We had an impromptu dinner for 27 on the Saturday evening and it was splendid . We had a set menu of 4 courses put together very quickly by the...

Called in for food and got a lovely steak. The 10 oz. the nicest I've had in a long while. Lovely pepper sauce. Didn't really like layout of restaurant, it was like sitting in the middle of an old irish pub. Slightly uncomfortable and very close to other people. Only comp, ain't however as food was very good and reasonably priced.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel in July for a wedding. I have to say my stay was okay. The staff were friendly. The young man who checked me in was helpful and polite. The wedding meal was nice. It is a nice family run hotel. The next morning breakfast was good, service a bit slow. The waitress seemed like...

Lisa As it was approximately 1 month after your stay & our first hearing of the problem, it has taken us a few days to reply to your review due to checking accommodation records, wedding records and even having contacted the bride and groom, we have found no record of a Lisa Smyth staying with us. Visited the carvery with my parents in mid July 2014. Although there was nothing there to interest my mother, the lady behind the carvery immediately made her a top quality chicken salad, very tasty and fully fresh. My father and I had the burger and it was delicious, as was the desert. The place is very clean and the staff...

We were surprised to find this Grand Hotel still open long after the Motorway bypassed the town of Moate. Open it was though and the carvery was still in operation and a good sized group of people were enjoying the food and atmosphere (we were not staying at the hotel as guests). The food was plentiful and fresh. The staff...

On a recent visit to Moate for a family wedding nearby, we received a very warm welcome and excellent service throughout our stay. The rooms were very clean with comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities. The food was wonderful also. We've stayed in so many places around Ireland and the UK, I would rate this as one of our favourites....

Had a fantastic stay in the grand hotel.rooms were beautiful, very comfortable, clean and warm, everything reasonably priced, food was lovely, unfortunately I couldn't enjoy the breakfast which looked lovely, as the reasonably priced drink got the better of me, close to amenities, was perfect for what we were staying for and the staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful...
