Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When we booked this hotel we knew it was a 2 star property but it was definitely an unexpected surprise. The rooms were very large (we had rooms 1 and 2), and yes, the decor was dated but it was very much value for money. They were extremely clean and spacious and the beds were very comfy. Location was fantastic and we were able to walk everywhere. Breakfast was awesome and filling and the owner was very attentive to us. We ate their 3 nights as the food was fantastic!!! We didn't bother looking around the town for dinner, just kept going back to the Adler. Anton was the most attentive, helpful and interactive head waiter I've ever come across. A big thankyou to Anton for his attentiveness.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights while we were visiting the Bodensee area. We stayed in a room around the back of the guesthouse which overlooked fields and mountains, which we admired from our personal terrace.

Definitely try getting a room with the same view!

We also had dinner in the restaurant and it was very reasonably priced considering how wonderful the food was. I had a meat in "jaggersauce"... My German boyfriend ordered for me so I don't remember the name but it was some of the best meat I had in all of Germany!!

Highly recommended both for families and couples.

Cheap and cheerful is best way to describe the Adler. Be prepared for a lot of no,s' no safe, no English speaking TV channels (12 inch), no shower shampoo, no WiFi, no internet, no lift, no mini bar, no drink making facilities. All the above aside the rooms are clean and the breakfast adequate and it is cheap in a position handy for the town centre.

Whenever nearby I try to get there because of this Rinderfillet, which I really like, though service sucks.
It is a traditional southgerman Villagestyle restaurant and hotel. I never stayed there, so cannot say how these facilities are.
The food is a bit pricy but good value for money, though service is slow and .... how to put it a nice way: service staff is very, very experienced, not necessarily friendly though.

we didnt stay here but we were staying nearby and had a lovely meal here.
there were 9 of us,non-german speaking, and we were made to feel very welcome by staff and other guests eating there
we wanted traditional german and got it in spades.
delicious food - best of the holiday - infact 3 members of our group returned again a couple of nights later and left just as happy
