I have stayed at "the Stadtmauer" twice this year. The place seems to be very new. The rooms are great and spacious enough. There is a little bar in the common area, where one can have a drink. The breakfast buffet is excellent. Plenty of breads, yogurts, jams, sausages, cheeses and cereals to choose from PLUS a proper tea and... More

The location of this hotel was great - we didn't have to drag our luggage far from the train station. However we came at a time where the weather was hot, and during the weekend Schorndorf was celebrating a festival. The corner room we were given faced two streets, and we suffered sleepless nights due to the partying and drunk... More

I stayed in the hotel in October 2015 for two nights. The room was nice but was very cold. I realized that the heating was turned off and a window was open so I turn the heating on (radiator) and closed the window down, but the room couldn't get warm enough so I had to stay in down jacket for... Hotel is located just in the old town center, rooms are large but very dark and light bulbs are not powerful - quite tough to work in the evening - but clean and nice breakfast. I had really poor wifi connection. Not the best place for business trip.

Comfortable and clean, polite staff. They speak a good English (not so usual in this area). They offer a complete breakfast buffet, including different kind of breads, lunchmeat, confitures, fruit and sweets.

I have stayed at the An der Stadtmauer several times and the experience is good every time. The hotel is located very close to the train station so very easy to walk to. It is always clean and the staff are really pleasant. The food at breakfast and for dinner is very good. However, the rooms are pretty quirky to... More

The hotel is within a short walking distance from the train station. It is the end stop from Stuttgart on the S2. Turn right, out of the station and walk 5 minutes. The staff was helpful in directing me to sight seeing. There are several restaurants, shops and museums within walking distance. They serve a very good breakfast. The rooms... More
