Thank you for your write up. We have experienced severe floods of late as have many parts of the Southern African continent which makes it difficult to sort out water supply for gas / solar geysers in a hurry. Either you were here just after this or the gas cylinder to the geysers ran out which they do and hence...

This is not a 5* hotel, it is a backpacker's and therefore this should be kept in mind when visiting. For a backpackers, I found the staff extremely friendly, the rooms cozy and the common area very welcoming and warm (we went there during snow). The tour guides who work for our tour company Drakensberg Adventures are very knowledgeable and committed to respectful cultural engagement with communities all over Lesotho,...

We're a long term traveling couple and the Sani Lodge is one of the first places in Southern-Africa that had everything for us. We hitchhiked up the Sani Pass (was very easy) and were welcomed with beautifull views over the drakensberg. The next days we hiked each day 4-12hours and could Always come back to a warm shower and good...

Wow, everything was clean and neat and then you add the friendly staff, you can also relax next to the fireplace on a cold evening! They offer various activities to do around the area also, from short hikes to 7 day pony rides in the mountains
