Strangely, we were the only guests for 3 nights over a weekend. Not complaining though! Friendly, helpful and popular Inn. Clean, good value, food excellent with ample car parking. Wonderful scenery and great for walking and site seeing. Excellent location, definately stay again.

Family meal, on arrival we were shown to our table and the menus left with us so that we could take our time to choose our meal orders. Once the meal orders/ starter orders were taken we then sorted out drink orders at the bar. The started arrived all together so that one one was waiting, this was followed later...

First visit to The Pollards Inn for many years. Encouraged to try their Wednesday Night "Burger Special" after reading a feature in the Wirral Globe the previous week and we were rewarded handsomly for that decision. We started with cheese garlic bread and some bread and oils as a nibble. The garlic bread was outstanding, different to any I've tried...

Having never eaten out on Christmas Day, I was apprehensive as I had visions of this being a day to forget. Fortunately I was wrong: it was absolutely fantastic Food was delicious. It was really nicely presented and was excellent quality. Portions were generous too and no issues when we asked for extra gravy and potatoes. Table layout was lovely...

Thanks to Pollards Inn and the team, we hosted a business event for 14 local businesses. The venue was perfect. Relaxed and informal, in a lovely sandstone building, it reflected the atmosphere we wanted to convey for our meeting and was a huge part of the success of the event. The refreshments and afternoon tea/food were perfect. We will be...

My first visit to Pollards for a Christmas meal with the lovely folk from the BNI Eclipse business networking group. Based on a recommendation from Jeanne, we opted for Christmas lunch here. What a great meal it was too. Attentive service and food that's obviously crafted with attention, skill & care. A pleasure to find an inn with staff &...

Called in on the spur of the moment for a Christmas lunch. Despite being busy, they managed to fit the two of us in. The lunch was a choice of 4 different meals, with all the trimmings. We both choose the roast turkey, and were not disappointed. The meat was plentiful and tender. The two veg were hot and well...

I have been reading Hannah B that Pollards food was terrible, all I can say is she was extremely unlucky, my family and I eat regularly there and have always been delighted with the meals we have had. The only criticism is some diners thinking it's alright to let their children run around with the possibility of an accident.
