- RubemperorVezzano Ligure, Italy3,596 contributionsThe most particular neighborhood in LondonI was in this neighborhood with my girlfriend during a holiday in London. This is, in my opinion, one of the most authentic areas of the English capital. Here you can see the colorful buildings with real works of art on the facades, street artists and many dining options in the market area. There is no shortage of special and alternative shops. An area to visit when you go to London.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 February 2024
- RubemperorVezzano Ligure, Italy3,596 contributionsThe most colorful and alternative area of LondonI was in this area with my girlfriend during a holiday in London. It is certainly one of the most particular and colorful areas of the English capital. Here pop culture has heavily influenced the architecture of the neighborhood. You can find numerous artisan shops and street food venues from all over the world. An area, easily accessible by subway and public buses, to see every time you visit London.Visited December 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 7 February 2024
- andyh67186334Coalville, United Kingdom11,316 contributionsFantastic TownSome friends regularly visit Camden Town when they visit London, so I thought I would explore the area for the first time and wasn't disappointed. I arrived early on a Bank Holiday Monday and the Town was devoid of people. There is fantastic street art on the buildings along Camden High Street. Camden Lock is also great to explore with a canal system and bars and restaurants along the route. A different side to London and thoroughly recommended.Visited August 2023Travelled soloWritten 2 March 2024
- Paul HBournemouth, United Kingdom1,885 contributionsThe New Camden TownCamden has changed over the past 20 years and has become a model for urban regeneration. As a result it has lost a large portion of its character that attracted all this attention in the first place. It has become too commercial and overrun with food joints and clothing shops. There are pockets of the old Camden however like The Dublin Castle on Parkway.Visited March 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 March 2024
- pideundeseoBergamo, Italy520 contributionsI adoreI remembered this area as the most characteristic of London and after almost 20 years I confirm it again. I love everything about Camden Town. Street Food, colours, music, market, shops and the people who populate it every day.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 27 April 2024
- dhali16Cuggiono, Italy3,261 contributionsQuaint but really chaoticWe stayed on a Saturday, during a bank holiday in the UK. The main street was really too full of people, it was really difficult to walk. The shops are very characteristic and with particular representations on the walls. In Camden Lock there are many street food outlets and kiosks.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 10 May 2024
- Rafael R. VillarVigo, Spain12 contributionsLondon neighborhood overflowing with everything.I have had the immense luck of taking a free tour of this area of London and it has been MAGNIFICENT, they have explained the history to us through the evolution of the musicians linked to this area and we have been OVERWHELMED. It seems to me to be a totally different area of the city from the rest, where there are many people trying to enjoy the different walk. It's surprising through the alleys, but when you enter the market or the canals you AMAZED. Then they tell you all the people who made the neighborhood famous and it is even more incredible; Oasis, Madness, Prince, Amy Winehouse, Pink Floyd,....Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 May 2024
- ramonHuelvaHuelva, Spain738 contributionsOvercrowded on the weekend.I wouldn't go back on the weekend, as much as I like the fun, it's super overwhelming. I recommend doing one of the many free tours they offer. Get away from the center a little, walk through the alleys and canals. Souvenir shops are generally more expensive than in the rest of London.Visited May 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 May 2024
- alberto o233 contributionsMitico Camden !North London neighborhood famous for being frequented by the sadly deceased rock star Ami Winehouse and to whom murals and a statue were dedicated. Redeveloped and folkloristic offers, in the main street, particular shops, vintage with colorful facades. Entering and leaving the many shops you get to the real attraction... the Camden Market! A blaze of colors, futuristic stores like Cyber Dog, vintage, used, ... whatever product category you find here ... and then ... “street food” from all over the world ... a definitely extraordinary place to visit and spend a day there.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 30 July 2024
