Elgin Cathedral, also known as the ‘Lantern of the North’ is a majestic, historic ruin situated in Elgin. Elgin Cathedral is one of Scotland’s most beautiful medieval buildings, dating back to the 13th century. Elgin Cathedral has a rich history - it was badly fire damaged in 1390 following an attack by Robert III's brother Alexander Stewart, Earl of Buchan, who was also known as the ‘Wolf of Badenoch’. The two towers of the West Front and the Chapter House are intact and open to the public and the climb is rewarded with magnificent views of the town of Elgin. The top of the tower has an open viewing platform with information boards highlighting the visible landmarks.

***Please note: The Motor Museum is only open from Easter Weekend until the end of October and is CLOSED for winter.*** Based in the centre of Elgin (the capital of Morayshire, close to the Cooper Park), Moray Motor Museum is housed in a light and airy old mill building, part of which dates back to the era of the Cathedral when the Bishops of Moray ruled Moravia, and was used by them as a grain mill. The Moray Motor Museum houses a superb collection of veteran, vintage, classic cars and motorbikes. Most of which are on the button ready to go, added to this are the model cars and automobilia which make this a visit not be missed.

Come on a private Alpaca Trek in the beautiful Morayshire countryside. You'll learn about alpacas and their fleeces, and you and "your" alpaca will go on a gentle walk around the farm, through woods, past a lochan and then you'll finish with coffee and cakes at the farmhouse ! We have an Alpaca Farm Shop too. The whole activity lasts for around three hours. Pre-booking is ESSENTIAL for Alpaca Days Out. Alpaca Treks are suitable for over 14s only, and for groups of between 2 and four people.

This castle was built in 1140 AD and is the best-preserved example of a 12th-century moat-and-bailey style structure.

Since 1898, the BenRiach Distillery has very quietly been producing quality single malt scotch whisky, which has only ever been enjoyed in very small quantities, by a few discerning individuals who have been fortunate enough to come across a bottle. Today, BenRiach continues to produce its very special Single Malt Whiskies, as an Independent Distiller. Situated in the 'Heart of Speyside', just south of Elgin, we distil whisky from both styles of malted barley, non-peated and peated.
