Beautifully preserved Chepstow Castle stretches out along a limestone cliff above the River Wye like a history lesson in stone. For more than six centuries Chepstow was home to some of the wealthiest and most powerful men of the medieval and Tudor ages. The displayed opening times are our general pattern. Chepstow Museum is a museum of local history. On the ground floor we have four main exhibition rooms as well a gift shop. On the first floor are two further exhibition rooms. We have photographs of the first floor exhibits available to view from the front desk if you are unable to use the stairs. We have a ramped entrance for wheelchair access to the ground floor but no lift to the first floor.
