    Fascinating History
One of the few museums that we hadn't visited in Liverpool. Really enjoyed it, a fascinating history of a vibrant city. In fact, we ran out of time, so another visit will be scheduled. Highly recommended. Cafe is also good, at least our tea and cake was.

    Liverpool through the ages
A museum with wide scope. Worth visiting again and again. It covers the historical and social development of Liverpool with insight and enthusiasm . It’s suitable for all ages and is curated with care, creativity and humour. A well maintained place - the museum is easy and interesting to navigate. I particularly enjoyed the film and tv section( boys from black stuff/ Hillsborough/ brookside etc.) and the section on the dockers and shipbuilding- this was moving and engrossing. You also get coverage of Liverpool’s impressive music history - not just Beatles. Can’t wait to visit this place again. And it’s free

Brief visit but still enjoyable and will return
Only went for a brief visit to see Blackie, the rocking Horse from Blacklers store, as my husband remembered many enjoyable rides as a child, in the store. We briefly saw some of the other exhibits and we certainly want to return as it looks really interesting. My only criticism is that some of the information is set far too low, and with the subdued lighting, it was frustrating, as it couldn't be read

My visit to the Ken Dodd exhibition at the museum of Liverpool.
Last weekend I when to Liverpool to visit the museum of Liverpool. To go and see there Ken Dodd exhibition that was held there. It was amazing to see Liverpool celebrating the legend ken Dodd in his home town. The exhibition expanded his whole career from the mid 1950- untill he died in 2018. Exhibition had lost of his costume and props for is shows. They all so had TV screens showing is career on the television and live shows. It so good I spent at least 40 minutes in the exhibition. I was so impressed with it. The museum of Liverpool charge £5 per person to visit the ken Dodd exhibition. Also the rest of the museum of Liverpool is free to visit also so.i would highly recommend a visit.

Go and see, great for all the family. Make sure you donate. Amazing culture & needs to be treasured
Sometimes when you go to a museum, you never really know what to expect, how much interest will it have to be engaged, well congratulations to this museum it was amazing. Great stories, interactive, something for the whole family The story of Liverpool is varied and to be honest quite amazing, this was my first real visit to the city, it won’t be my last as there is so much to see and do, the museum really caught the people, the vibe and a real feeling of a warm and welcoming environment. Our interactions with the people of Liverpool was very positive and the museum really captured that. Learnt loads and you were really able to explore at your pace. Restaurant was great value and although we did not eat the food looked amazing. Gift shop was nicely presented but some of the range really focused on the museum or Liverpool, other product was nice but could. It get the link to the location and therefore have it a gift shop feel and I felt that there was missed opportunity for the commercial benefit. A highly recommend visit

So much to see, don't miss this fantastic free museum
Liverpool's new museum is an absolute wow from top to bottom, digging deep into the history of Liverpool from the first settlers right up to the modern day. Like the Maritime Museum nearby, there are obvious links to the nearby ports and docks, but there's so much more too - including plenty of exhibits about Liverpool's rich cultural heritage, music, movies and even videogames (with games to try out too). We really liked all the transport stuff, showing what the original elevated railway would have looked like when it snaked along the portside. It was also fantastic to see so many interactive exhibits that kids will really love, and plenty of activities for them to dig into. Highlights were seeing how large one of the Liver Birds actually is in real life, a huge replica can be found in one of the galleries just so you know how large those castings are. A great museum with very friendly staff who are only too willing to guide you towards the stuff you're interested in, be it history or culture. Please do drop a donation into one of the donation bins or via tap and pay, they deserve the support for putting together such a marvellous free attraction.

    Fab!
What a fabulous place to visit! We were met by a really helpful staff member who explained how to best enjoy the museum. We made our way to floor two where there were two exhibitions: cultural past, and social history. Wow! Well presented and enjoyably informative. We spent nearly two hours in those two. We decided it was well worth revisit g so we then left. We’ll be back to do floor one, and revisit some of floor two.

A Good Museum - Check Strike Days
We had planned to visit the Maritime Museum however we found that it was closed due to industrial action. It seems that this museum is also subject to an ongoing dispute and may be closed on certain days. The dispute is also having an impact on the World Museum and the Walker Art Gallery. It is definitely well worth a visit and we enjoyed the hour and a half we spent there.
