My experience at York’s chocolate story
It was a nice experience. I learned a lot and I think it was innovative to make a practical section of the tour to make it come alive more. Our guide was very good at what he did and he was engaged at what he did and what he said. Only problem was that the tour guide spoke a little too fast.
Thanks for taking the time to leave us a five-star review! It's great to hear that you enjoyed your visit. We're always looking to improve our offering and we will take your feedback on board 😊🍭 -Team Chocolate Part of Continuum Attractions

Great visit - worth the price!
We had such a lovely time at the York chocolate story. It was really informative and we were in a small group so it felt like almost a vip tour. Lots of samples, again with us being a small group this was nice. Louis was a knowledgable guide and very funny. He made the information sound very interesting and really knew his stuff!
Thank you for the five-star review Morgan! We really appreciate you letting us know how nice your visit was with Louis. We hope to see you again soon 😊🍫 -Team Chocolate Part of Continuum Attractions

    Excellent tasty treat!!
Very well explained commentary of how chocolate has progressed through the years. Thank you Daniel. Very interesting portraits talking to each other. Little taster treats along the way when various chocolate were explained. Good interaction for the young ones and then to top it off you made and decorated your own chocolate lolly. A demonstration on making handmade chocolates was given and then we could eat them afterwards.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a five star review Denise! It's great to hear that you enjoyed unwrapping York's chocolate history with Daniel, and we hope to welcome you back in the future 😊🍫 -Team Chocolate Part of Continuum Attractions

Insight into a specific part of York history
This was a really interesting look into the history of chocolate and sweet manufacture in York. The guide (Louis) was extremely informative, if it did seem a little rushed to move from one room to the next. When we got to the chocolate making we seemed to have a bit more time. Whilst not child unfriendly, the tour was not child oriented (unlike somewhere like Cadbury world). It was good to also get examples of York chocolate through the ages.

    Highly recommend
I booked a last minute trip to York and booked on to this tour. The your guide was called Chaz, he was funny, witty, knowledgeable and very engaging. He even answered my question about Yorkie bars without any hesitation that people actually thought I was an NPC 🤣 Overall the tour was packed with interesting information and the value for money was incredible. We made chocolate lollipops and rolls truffles, whilst getting so much chocolate along the way. Maisie the chocolate goddess made dinner beautiful banoffee truffles at the end too
Thank you for the lovely review and five-star recommendation Kayla! We really appreciate you letting us know how nice your visit was with Chaz and Maisie and we hope to see you again soon 😊🍫 -Team Chocolate Part of Continuum Attractions

    Delicious and interesting tour
I initially balked at the high price of this tour, but I am glad we went on it. It was a full 2 hours or so of the history of chocolate in the world and in York with its famous chocolatier Rowntrees (now part of Nestle) and the KitKat! Snappy patter from guide Josh, the chance to make our own chocolate lollies, and the chance to co sume.still more chocolate fresh-made at the shop--such a deal! Arrive hungry!

    Fun afternoon
Fun afternoon, learning about the history of chocolate in York. Josh the tour guide made it entertaining and fun. Adults and kids loved the choclate making at the end and we enjoyed our hand made lolly's and truffles on the way home.

Interesting and informative tour. Josh was very engaging and enthusiastic. Worth paying the extra for the Truffle rolling. Robbie the chocolatier gave a good demonstration and more free samples! Overall a good way to spend one to one and a half hours!

    Expensive but enjoyable tour
The chocolate story was very exciting. My granddaughter really enjoyed the whole experience. We enjoyed making the lollipops. The shop is very expensive and after paying for my granddaughter and I £29.25 for entry to do the tour. i do think maybe a 10% or 20% off voucher would have been a nice thank you.
