We went to the wonderful Il Divo concert on 29 October and the venue was full. My husband has Alzheimer's Disease and cannot always find his way around, so I accompanied him to the gents' toilet and waited for him in the foyer. I started talking to one fo the staff who told me her brother-in-law had the same problem so she understood the difficulties. Towards the end of the concert he needed to go again but I didn't want to miss the last few songs. However, I went into the foyer with him and found my new friend who took over from there. She made sure he returned to the right seat also. The other staff were just as helpful so you obviously have a good recruitment and training programme - well done!

Although the venue itself is very accessible and the staff extremely helpful, the provision of disabled parking sadly falls short. There are blue badge spaces in the NCP Manchester Central car park opposite. Although this can be accessed via a lift and subway, it is at least a 150m walk, some over cobbles . The car park is very expensive, almost £20 for four hours, and so not well used, and therefore can feel quite forbidding as it consists of underground tunnels. I would not recommend using alone.

I attended this venue to watch the wonderful Shanty Music group Fishermen's Friends on Saturday 6th September. I would say it was around my 10th visit to the Hall. I absolutely love the place! It is so nice inside, the sound is epic and the staff are wonderful too. Bar prices are slightly high however so are most bars now in Manchester so I have not knocked them down for that with my my 5 stars. By the way, the Fishermen Boys were OUTSTANDING. Loved every single second.

Came here on Sunday 30th June to see Layton and Nikita in their show. Having watched them in Strictly, I said they should do a tour as they are so good together, so happily they’ve done a few dates amid their other busy work schedules. Show was superb. The boys really bring out the best of each other, so talented, great fun chatting with audience between numbers while getting their breath back, excellent choreography. Great costumes, great venue, some good backing dancers (especially the female redhead- she really stood out as a dancer) and what made it extra enjoyable was an enthusiastic and appreciative audience. Some audiences we’ve been in lately (elsewhere) are like the living dead and that’s not so good for the performers. I hope the boys “Keep dancing” together!

I did not get to the venue till late (stuck in traffic), I arrived literally 5 mins before the start of the concert. So I didn't get to see much of the Bridgewater Hall, I've read reviews that the bar is expensive (where isn't it these days?), anyway the concert iteslf sounded absolutley fantastic!

third visit to the bridgwater, and not disappointed again. lovely venue, easy to get to (we walked). no problems getting in but we didn’t have drinks. past experiences has proved venues bar prices are always a little overinflated, so we stopped off for a drink at one of the lovely local bars. would recommend a visit.

I cannot recommend the pre concert dining in the Charles Halle restaurant enough. The food was excellent and really good value for money. The concert hall has wonderful acoustics making the whole visit thoroughly enjoyable. The seating is comfortable and roomy too.

Amazing venue both inside and out. This place is so well maintained, looks no different to what it was when I last attended some years ago. Everything is so well organised including the way the main bar service works. The reason for only four stars is the over the top bar prices. £3.95 for a splash of coke in a rum. That is way overpriced. I did approach the duty manager to give my views on the ridiculous price for a splash of code and he agreed with me and said he would pass the feedback to the bar manager

The music was excellent - as expected! But this review is about the booking process: the staff were really helpful and went the extra 10 miles. My friend needed two carers, not one, and that was no problem to the Bridgewater Hall. Absolutely to be commended!
