    Iconic symbol of Germany
We took photos of the Gate at 3 different times. We had a daytime photo, which helped to see the details of the statue. That was tough since there were so many people. We took one at night for the Festival of Lights. It was tough to see the details in the amazing statue on top though. The best one by far was one at dusk. The sky was a deep blue, and the statue popped out with the blue background, so that was our favorite time of the day. This was less crowded at this time. This iconic symbol of Germany was made even more amazing at the Festival of Lights. The show had a light show / video projecting on the gate and set to music. The show at this stop was the best of all the Lights. If you have a chance to be in Berlin during this festival in Oct, make sure this is on the top of your list. If it’s not during the festival, then coming here at dusk will not disappoint.

    Must see
A must see in a wonderful walkable city. Take some time to take it all in and walk through the gates. Many other things to see in the immediate area all within walkable distance. Was saddened to hear it was defaced recently

    Iconic
This is an iconic and imposing landmark in the city of Berlin. Certainly worth a visit to have that tourist photo. However I was a little underwhelmed overall. It’s rather dirty, graffitied and had horrible scaffolding up which spoilt its view. I’m surprised the local authority allows people to cause damage to such a building.

A monumental symbol of German history
The Brandenburg Gate is a stunning 18th-century sandstone monument located in Berlin, Germany. It was originally built as a symbol of Prussian power, but now stands as a symbol of German unity. Its impressive grandeur and monumental size make it a must-see for any visitor to Berlin. Its intricately detailed columns and sculptures are a testament to the skill of the 18th-century German architects who built it.

    An Historical Icon of Germany
The Brandenburg Gate, located in the heart of Berlin, stands as a testament to Germany's long and varied history. Built in the late 18th century, this impressive structure is a symbol of the country's past and present. The gate is made up of 12 Doric order columns, topped with a quadriga sculpture depicting the goddess of victory. This monumental structure is a reminder of the great history of Germany, and its significance in the world today. It is a must-see for anyone visiting the country, and a reminder of the importance of preserving history.

History that has to be seen
Major sight of Berlin that you have to see when in the city. It was ruined by a large protest the first day we visited so we went back the day after to see it without hundreds of people around. It was nice to see it in the snow, although there was scaffolding up which made it less appealing! Took us about 20 minutes to walk straight down the main road from the Cathedral but also on the hop-on-hop-off bus routes which is helpful in bad weather.

    Beautiful
Magnificent is the perfect word to describe this monument Just sitting on the bench and viewing this monument for hours will make you smile. The only minus for me is that there are a lot of people standing around it all day, but it doesn't mean that you can't take a perfect photo. Just be aware that sometimes people will approach you and ask for money donation for apparently sick children

    An iconic monument
One of the iconic monuments of Berlin. Visited on a sunny spring day and the area has lots of energy from the crowds that swirl all about this area. Definitely worth coming back at night when it is illuminated and backlit against the night sky

    Brandenburg Gate
Great site to see, especially in the dark when it's lit up but always large crowds there. On a side note... The hotel where Michael Jackson famously hung his baby out of the window is also right by there.
