    A period living room
Piazza della Signoria is certainly the most beautiful and iconic square in Florence. Wherever you look, everything here smells of history, art and beauty; Palazzo Vecchio with the very high Arnolfo tower, the Loggia dei Lanzi with its splendid sculptures, the Neptune fountain and then the statues, monuments, historic buildings which together create an almost perfect picture. Beautiful to experience in the sunlight, as well as when surrounded by suggestive night lighting.

    Popular sightseeing location in Florence
This is one of the most popular public squares for sightseeing in the historic city centre of Florence. In addition to major attractions like the world famous Uffizi Museum and Palazzo Vecchio, you will find quite a few cafes with alfresco dining and souvenir shops. Another interesting aspect of Piazza della Signoria are the many monuments scattered around the square including the Neptune Fountain, Cosimo I equestrian statue, row of sculptures in front of Palazzo Vecchio including the much recognisable replica statue of Michealangelo's David as well as the masterpieces within Loggia dei Lanza such as Giambologna's Ratto della Sabina. It is easy to spend half an hour monument viewing at Piazza della Signoria as well as several more hours within Uffizi or Palazzo Vecchio museums. Just be aware of the crowds that gather here during the daytime hours. For more relaxed visits, try passing by first thing in the morning or later in the evening when the throngs of tourists have left the square.

    Amazing square
This is considered to be one of the most beautiful squares, not only in Italy, but to many, in the world. This area dates back to the 14th century. Not only used for politics at the time, but also for locals to gather. Besides restaurants and shopping, many famous sculptures and statues can be seen here. Quite a few are visible for free from outside, but others are tucked away in museums. The statue of David by Michelangelo, among others, can be seen at the nearby Galleria dell’ Accademia. Many locals and tourists gather here to take in the sights, or just find a seat and people watch. This is definitely a must see for anyone visiting Florence.

Beautiful during the day... and even at night
The absolute center of medieval power in Florence, a spectacular square overlooked by Palazzo Vecchio with the mighty Tower, the Loggia dei Lanzi and the Uffizi. The Fountain of Neptune also stands there. It should be seen several times and at different times of the day and late evening. Always crowded but it couldn't be otherwise given that tourists come from all over the world to see it.

    Overpriced food
Our airbnb was close walking distance to here and so we passed by this everyday. Always lots of people and a lively place. At night there are nice lights around. Lots of places to eat around but overpriced because of the location.

    The Square of the Rich
Piazza della Signoria is a very beautiful square which is beneath the Palazzo Vecchio. It contains amongst many statues located in the Loggia dei Lanzi, the Fountain of Neptune. The fountain is indeed as expected a majestic work of art, beautiful both in the morning and at night with artificial lightning upon it. Piazza della Signoria is a must visit when in Florence as it is not as busy as the Piazza Del Duomo.

    Must visit
Beautiful place to visit and learn history. Great places to eat and gather with friends and good for pre teens. It can be a bit crowded with lots of tour groups. It was pretty hot as well. Gelato is really good as is the pizza. Go to the rooftop bar for great views of the city!

What is there else to say?
It is the place in Florence where everything comes together, belongs together and fits together. With all the splendor, it is difficult to know where to start. The Neptune fountain is beautiful with its mythical figures and the fountains. Behind the fountain there is a refill station with drinking water, even mineral water can be tapped here. The Palazzo Vecchio towers over everything and of course Michelangelo's David. The head of David looks relatively large, but this is intentional, because the viewer looks up from below and the proportions are correct. By the way, you should focus your attention on the hand of the sculpture, even if you might be tempted to look somewhere else.

    Statues square
Senyors square is home to intriguing sculptures. I can say summer is incredibly crowded. Spring is the best time to visit. The fountain of Neptune is among the main sculptures of the square, with a copy of the David statue.

This neoclassical-style piazza built by Giuseppe Poggi in the 19th century offers some of the best panoramic views of Florence's historic center. The plaza is also home to several replicas of Michelangelo's famous sculptures, including David and the Medici Chapel statues. To get to the piazza, you'll need to climb up a steep hill, but the unobstructed views are worth it. Sunset is a popular time to visit when the plaza is bathed in golden light. You can take a taxi or car tour up the hill, or for a unique experience, pass by the piazza on a Vespa tour through Tuscany from Florence. – Tripadvisor
