Fantastic on the outside, worth a visit inside
Yet another large cathedral in Europe, the design here is more Romanesque than gothic though there are some similarities. The outside is absolutely stunning and extremely detailed. Topped by a shockingly colorful and ornate roof. The inside is no match for the exterior but still of course is well worth a visit inside.

Climb the spire and see over the city
Great way to see over the city of Vienna. 343 steps to the top of the spire is hard on the calf muscles, but worth it. The way up is the way down, so there is a lot of passing on the stone narrow spiral staircase. Total time at the top was probably 20 minutes, so in total it’s a 30 - 40 event.

    Good but lots of distractions
We visited the cathedral while in the district. There is a lot of construction on it as well as lots of beggars and street performers in the area. The structure is beautiful as well as the inside but with all the distractions it really takes away from the atmosphere. It is still worth the time to check it out and I would imagine when the construction is done it will be a 5 star.

    Stunning cathedral inside and outside
I took a tour to the catacombs and I went up on both towers. I liked the view and the fact that I could take the elevator on the North Tower. Climbing the Stairs on South Tower didn’t worth it after I visited the North Tower. I’ve read about it in some reviews but still my curiosity won and I had to torture myself with that experiment. The church is stunning inside and outside. I visited it at least 5 times during the week of my travels.

    stunning architecture
A must see in Vienna is the most famous cathedral, the Stephans Dom on the Stephansplatz in Viennas city center district. This church is not only beautiful but steeped in history. You can go up the steps to the top or take a tour, you will have to pay for both. Well worth a visit.

    Vienna Must Visit
On our first day in Vienna it was our first port of call to visit this stunning gothic cathedral. We initially walked around the interior and marvel at the sights. We were aware that you can get a tour guide for €20 each but decided to pay the €6 (only take cash) and take the elevator to the North Tower. Although it was a bitterly cold morning you see the panoramic view of the city - plus the incredible tiles on the building. We also paid €6 for the catacombs- interesting and a bit morbid to view all the bones and skulls in the various rooms all piled on top of each other.

    Beautiful city center
I was impressed by its majestic and beautiful appearance. There are not many people until about 9:00 in the morning. Around noon, it becomes crowded with tourists. There is a danger of pickpockets, so I recommend visiting in the morning when you can concentrate on taking pictures. The inside is also very beautiful. We did not go to the paid areas such as the north and south towers, but we were very satisfied.

Beautiful cathedral with charming Christmas market
Gorgeous cathedral, all lit up for Christmas with a small, charming Christmas market around it. The visit was definitely worth the line at the door, very interesting baroque interior. As we exited, there was a beautiful carillon of bells from the bell tower. Outside the cathedral, tickets sellers were selling concert tickets for various classical music concerts on various dates. We bought tickets, and really enjoyed the concert.

One of the most important landmarks in Vienna
This cathedral is considered as the symbol of Vienna, therefore it is strongly suggested for tourists. Constructed in 1100s with roman and Gothic architecture. Main entrance is free but some areas inside require tickets. Unfortunately it was too crowded when we visited, therefore I can suggest a visit early in the morning.

    Beautiful and opulent cathedral
The opulent interiors of the cathedral are so mesmerizing we need some moments to take everything in. The climb to the top is so worthwhile, you get to see the whole of beautiful Budapest from a bird’s eye view. Easily one of the most gorgeous cathedral we’ve visited. Do not miss it!
