Two-storey narrow-track tram is a big feature in Hong Kong for just 3 cents. You can ride all the way. If you have time, you can slow down and slowly tour a ride in the river, eat a tea restaurant, walk around and take the subway back to the city.

Hong Kong Tramway provides an excellent way at a very low cost for a tourist to see the sights of Hong Kong Island on a slow moving vehicle. Even though most locals prefer MTR for rapid transit, nonetheless during rush hours the trams should be avoided due to the crowds. Also note that the trams only run along the harbor side of Hong Kong Island. There are no trams in the southern parts of Hong Kong, or anywhere in Kowloon or the New Territories.

We booked a private tram tour for 2 1/2 hours for an anniversary celebration. Great views of city on smooth ride and 1/2 way they stop for washroom break. Can bring food and drinks as has cooler and space for food and up to 30 guests. Washroom break has very clean washrooms. Easy to book online with information about what you can and cannot doo. Recommend for private function as great way to see Hong Kong on cool ding ding.

Rode the tram in Hong Kong for the first time, and it was a unique experience. The tram crosses Hong Kong Island, making it a convenient way to reach major areas in the city. The fare was also very affordable, and I found it much more comfortable than walking around.

The trams are so fun to ride on. They have an extensive network on the HK island and you can gat around economically and see some great sights. Would recommend you buy at Octopus Card (travel card) it costs HK$200 and includes HK$150 credit. This can be used on ferries/trams/buses and trains. Plus can be used at most stores in HK to purchase food and other items.

Tramway on Hong Kong Island. His nickname is Dinh Dinh. The cute one that wraps the car in a full-page ad and runs like crazy. I wanted the chivicks to be in the first seat on the second floor of this retro train, so I used it from Golden Bell to Causeway Bay. Unfortunately, it was so crowded that I couldn't sit down and couldn't see the cityscape. I was able to sit in the front seat and gaze blankly at the city before. The fact that it costs 3HK for adults everywhere I ride is also attractive, and the wrapping of passing trains is interesting, and I chose it because I wanted to be able to do a town bra from the same perspective as the big sign, but this time I was disappointed. People who rush are MTR, but those who want to see the cityscape are this.

Great way to have an authentic Chinese tram experience, which has been running for decades. You enter the team at the rear, through the turnstile. You pay when you get off, at the card reader next to the driver at the front. The best way would be to use Octopus and the cost is just around 35p ish per trip. We travelled from our Ibis hotel in Sheung Wan to Causeway bay, to go shopping one evening. We sat upstairs at the front, please see the attached pictures, it was a great way to travel and to see the lit up city at night! I think you have to experience everything Hong Kong has to offer and this to me is a no brainer especially as it costs almost nothing!

It is. Dun ride, for one time experience. Pros: Cheap ($3) Con: Less frequency (depending on the route, another ride will come after 20 mins). Speed is also a little slow (20 km / hr). So if you have spare time, definitely worth the ride. Fun for children

Definitely worth trip. Good value . We should have booked ahead as queue at place but queue went quick. Queue bit disorganised and usual Hong Kong ‘push-and-shove’ mentality to cope with. The ride is quite short with limited views. Worth paying for sky view extra. Lots of shops and cafes at top with a square to walk around just outside. Views are spectacular and give even more sense of awe of Hong Kong estate. Worth the trip

Really cool. Hop on and hop off where you want. Enter at the rear and then pay when you leave. Exit through the front. Try and have the exact change. October 2024, flat fare for an adult is 3 HKD. You can also pay with an Octopus Card if you have one. If your a tourist and just want to experience the ride, avoid going at rush hour. Clean. More seating on the upper level. They come quite regularly and make a lot of stops. If your in a hurry use the MTR. This is fine if you want to go a few stops, have time or just want to experience it.
