    Unusual tourist attraction
I have visited many caves but none were like Margate. The history is really interesting, especially as they are under houses and were forgotten about and rediscovered many years later. We talked to Angela, who was full of knowledge and interesting facts about the caves.

    Fun & photogenic education
Learnt its unique history from the little exhibition and the lovely guide in the cave. Lots of stairs and uneven ground but safe with enough light. Had a great afternoon taking awesome photos there. Thank you!

Great visit on a rainy or sunny day!
Thoroughly enjoyed a visit here on a rainy October day. Angela the volunteer guide was very interesting. She told us numerous facts about the caves. £4.50 per adult is a bargain for the time spent there, under an hour. Lovely shop to browse around and a cafe there too.

    Great little gem
Had such a great visit - the caves were bigger than I expected and really interesting. Angela was the staff in the cave and her knowledge was amazing - told us the history of how it started through to modern day. Had a coffee and cake afterwards in the cafe which was great. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming and a good selection. Very warm and inviting after the coolness of the caves. Will definitely come back with other family for another visit.

Such a great value, learning experience, and fun time!
I walked in, and the front desk lady was friendly and informative. Once inside? Angela was a wealth of information. I learned SOOOOO much! It was the best 4.5 lbs I’ve spent in a long, long time! Check this place out!

    Great time underground
We visited the Margate caves this week with my sister who was on holiday from her home in Wiltshire. We had been before and knew my sister would love it when she saw the caves. Angela and her young assistant knew everything about the caves and shared all of that knowledge with us and entertained us with all of the stories of the past owners and history. We had a lovely day, the caves are fascinating, the entrance fee very reasonable and the volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable, well worth a visit . Thank you Angela.

    Fun family activity
I attended the caves with my wife and three-year-old son and we had a brilliant time. The gingerbread reindeers from the cafe got the visit off to a great start and both the guides inside the caves were extremely knowledgeable. Lee's 'magic' trick went down a treat with our little boy, who loved exploring the different sections and seeing the paintings. Money well spent!

    Fantastic Visit to see Santa!
An absolutely brilliant visit to see Santa in a quirky and atmospheric setting. Everyone has gone to a huge effort to make the whole experience run smoothly and decorate the space. Our visit was well organised, with plenty of Elves on hand to guide us through the caves, and we had a generous amount of time to talk to Santa. We left with a lovely present to open on Christmas Day. There are craft activities on site too, although our little one is too small to participate this year. We finished our trip with a stop off in the cafe - excellent food and service. We couldn’t have asked for a better time. Visiting Santa at Margate Caves had been recommended to us through a relative in Margate, and we travelled from London to see him. We will be back next year.

    Great visit to Margate caves
Well worth a visit. Our children were fascinated. We spent an hour chatting to the fantastic volunteers about the history of the caves. Great to support the charity which has done so much work to protect these caves and open them back up to the public.
