    Fantastic!
We spent a great afternoon at Cairnie with our family including two small grandchildren. There is an excellent cafe and shop along with a huge play area for kids. We picked a couple of containers of strawberries that very absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend.

    Cairnies fruit farm
The whole experience was very good, kids loved the play area, strawberries not in abundance but it is end of season, still managed one punnet, cafe is lovely however we went to the little burger van beside the play park and bought 3 cheeseburger and chips, it cost over £40 for this which I thought was very expensive. We always try to buy from the place we go to to try supporting them however it will be a buffet next time we go back as not prepared to pay that for food. (the only disappointing part of the day).

    Family Day out
We visited as two adults and two children (7 & 13), the fruit picking was good fun although the crops this year weren’t as good as previous years. This activity was enjoyed by both children. The 7 year old naturally got a little bored and wanted to go into the play park- which is totally fine I paid them in at £8.50 which I don’t object to. The part I felt was harsh was I was then told if I as an adult was going in I also had to pay a further £6.50 to sit and make sure the child was safe. There is no one on site watching and making sure the children are safe playing. I felt it was a bit steep to charge that much to sit on a bench. Would it not be better to charge say £10 per ticket 1 child with 1 supervising adult? The maze wasn’t open so it wasn’t like the above £6.50 was for that experience - if that was the case I wouldn’t object to the cost. We also bought from the cafe, where we all had a drink and cake for 4 of us it was £20. Which i don’t feel is that bad. Punnets bought: 5x raspberries, 4x strawberries and 2x cherries in total we think it was about £80 this of course was our choice as we were going to make jam. Cherries are £10 per punnet. Of course you could go and spend a lot less but definitely worth a trip/activity.

    Fantastic!
We had such fun. Totally did not expect the crowds there though. Staff were friendly and met one of the owners who was so kind. The fruits we picked were really sweet and did not cost a fortune for the amazing fun we had in comparison. Best PYO farm we have ever been to and we have been to quite a few in Australia and USA. Thumbs up!

    Amazing place to visit
This is an amazing place to visit you can easily spend a full day with children being entertained all the time. The maze is fantastic and the strawberries are delicious and a real treat for kids to pick themselves. The food in the cafe is very good too.

    Needs attention to basics
Admittedly it was probably the sunniest day of the summer so far and it was mobbed but it seems like poor planning when there was nowhere with any cold drinks for sale. Not much of a choice of food either when it’s really busy. Super sunny and we couldn’t even buy a bottle of water. The ladies toilets were a mess - paper all the floor, no paper towels etc and three cubicles for a place like this is poor. The fun play area is great for kids but it’s expensive for families. Also seemed to be a lot of broken equipment - the go carts for example. We only managed to get a small quantity of strawberries but largely due to the busyness and leaving it a little late in the day to head to that area. Overall a nice afternoon but let down by a few hospitality basics.
