Dear Bill, We would like to thank you very much for your particularly pleasant and helpful review of your recent stay with us at Iberostar Bella Vista. We are really sorry to read that your stay was not up to your expectations. We take into consideration all the issues you brought up to our attention, especially the one regarding restaurant reservations. It is important to mention that the policy we work for is actually implemented to make sure that all our guests can fairly and equally enjoy our specialty restaurants. However, we also offer a waitlist and try to accommodate all our guests’ requests depending on availability. In order to achieve this, we cannot occupy all the restaurant tables during the first seating because some of our guests take longer to enjoy dinner and part of the experience is not to rush while serving them. During the second seating we can have most of our tables occupied but as you well mentioned some of our guests prefer earlier times to have dinner so they will not miss the show or enjoy our different bars. This 2nd seating is usually the most popular and fills up first. It also happens sometimes that our guests do not show up at the restaurants and then of course we have tables available but we cannot re-use those tables until 15 – 20 minutes after the reservation time, when it will become a cancellation. An apology if the works we conducted in the Lobby were disturbing for you. Luckily it was a two days thing when we had to cut the floor, because we are making a closed area with glass in order to avoid rain from entering and disturbing our guests rest.
