Thank you for your review of your trip to the Briery Wood. I'm delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your stay here with us. Over the past couple of years, we have been engaged in a programme of refurbishments, giving the hotel a fresh, clean contemporary look, whilst still retaining the charm and character of the original country house. Our garden rooms are extremely popular, with doors opening out from the room giving direct access to our landscaped gardens. We offer a variety of different breaks here at the Briery Wood, with our offers including the cream tea being a popular option, with guests being able to relax with a handmade scone with jam and clotted cream accompanied by a freshly brewed pot of tea or coffee. Our evening meal has earned us much praise, as well as 2 rosettes for excellence from the AA, with a selection of food on offer that includes locally sourced produce for a real taste of the lake district. I hope you will consider us for any future visits to the area and will be waiting with a suitable warm welcome when you do.
