As you make the quick walk to the hotel from the boat, you will see that Avalon is made up of unique small businesses. This is true for our hotels as well. I am glad that you enjoyed your room, even though it is not traditional. Our "King" rooms feature Eastern King beds. If you are used to California Kings (longer and thinner), our beds may seem different to you. Thank you for mentioning that my Front Desk staff was helpful to you.
