Hello, Mary H., and thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed account of your experience at our lodge. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and would not hesitate to return to visit us again. With that said, we are sorry if the noise from your neighbors inconvenienced you in any way. We have renovated our rooms numerous times since opening our doors to guests in 1987. We have installed insulation between the rooms to damper the noise but unfortunately, some noise still seems to pass through. This is something that we will continue to address and we thank you for your comments on the matter. If at any point our guests feel like the noise from their neighbors is excessive we would welcome their remarks at reception so we can work to resolve the matter. We want every guests' experience to be as peaceful and tranquil as possible. Additionally, we would like to apologize for the condition of the road that you experienced. This road is a publicly owned and maintained road, we are constantly fighting with the government to have it repaired and hopefully, one day paved. Conditions on this road are certainly variable but at the very least it is always passable, even in a small sedan. Thankfully, after a bad bought of rain that wreaked havoc on the road, the government gave to order to have it completely resurfaced. It is currently in as good of condition as it has ever been and the drive to La Fortuna is once again a leisurely 25-minute drive. We hope it will remain in this condition for the next time you visit. Once again, thank you for your comments. We rely on feedback from our guests to improve on the services we offer. We hope to see you again in the near future. Pura vida!
