You need to understand this is not a guided fishing trip you need to know a little bit about fishing and Halibut fishing is good but it's boring until they bite I love halibut but the salmon fishing is a lot more exciting Bring binoculars to see Eagles and the whales see lions…

Yes, it is fishing and you may need to sit and play the game when fishing for halibut. With bottom cameras we have watched them swim all around the bait. It is a sit and wait game. Do not leave your bait on the bottom, it is full of crabs and bottom fish. Sculpins especially, they and the crab will steal your bait. Keep it off the bottom, work the bait and hope for the best. Another problem are the sand sharks, once they invade the area it is best to move to another area further away.
