The lodge is located high upon the bank of the Mekong River giving wonderful views of the river and mountains beyond. After an 8 hour cruise it is a worthwhile break. The hotel apart from wonderful views is modern and we were met by the Manager upon arrival. The staff were all…

Dear customers, Thank you for posting a comment on the Sanctuary Pakbeng Lodge Tripadvisor page. We are pleased to hear that you appreciated the environment, with its breathtaking views of the Mekong, and services offered by our hotel. We are sorry that you found that there was a lack of activities in Pakbeng. However, the hotel offers activities to do in and around the town: there is the Mekong Elephant Camp just in front of the hotel, where you can meet the pachyderms, but also enjoy the environment of the park in particular by go walks. Different treks are proposed, with different routes, at different levels, in the direction of the mountains, and adding a local dimension, meeting the population since one passes in the villages. The hotel offers cooking lessons inside the structure, as well as massages. We hope to welcome you again soon. The whole Sanctuary Hotels and Resorts team and I wishes you a pleasant day.
