The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

"the place to go for shopping"
reviewed 2 days ago by ChiLongQua
it's a long street stretching between Marble Arch and Tottenham court road stations, full of shops, restaurant, cafes, jewellers and what not. It's a must visit if you are in London but I wouldn't stay around for more than 1 hour unless you want to stop for shopping. As many other beautiful streets in London, in the evening it becomes...
We had dinner here at Heliot and it was amazing, excellent service and the steak was perfect. We ate our meal while watching the action in the Casino below. It has a lot of history to the building and feels very grand inside. May visit the casino on day.
Waterloo Bridge is yet another London bridge, of which there are plenty. In fact they are all needed in a city like London, particularly in this area over the Thames. This is not a particularly great bridge in terms of architectural or aesthetic value, but it is functional, and that is the point.
I've been going to the Photographer's Gallery regularly since 1980 and it's still absolutely my favourite place in London.
I used to go to see amazing photography, browse lovely books I couldn't afford, eat good, cheap food and have a wee.
Very little has changed in my aspirations but my experiences recently have been less satisfying than previously.
I love visiting this place whenever in London. I have an Americano whilst choosing coffee beans to take home.
There are coffees from all over the world in this small shop. There are teas too and lots of inexpensive coffee making equipment.
The staff are friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable and patient.
The shop smells amazing.
The quality of the...
For great steak, great service and you don't have to take a mortgage out to eat this is the place. I've been a few times now and every time i leave i look forward to the next visit. Steaks are the way to go, large cuts to share (500g up 1.3kg) are wonderful. The a la carte normal cuts are...

4 of us ate here before the theatre the other evening. The food was so tasty lots of small dishes so basically 2 or 3 per person. We did not have rice but used the Hankies (basically a big chapatti). Every one found something they enjoyed

The staff are exceptionally helpful and run a great hotel. The location's also central. The rooms are on the smaller side but have all the nice touches like fresh fruit, unlimited bottled water, cookies, tea, etc. I'd recommend The Piccadilly West End to anyone staying in London!
We had a wonderful six nights at this hotel. The location is fantastic, friendly service and rooms immaculate. Really loved the availability of kitchen facilities whilst maintaining a luxury hotel room feel. The room was amazingly quiet despite its location. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The Ham Yard hotel in Soho is in the perfect location for a quick trip to London. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large and sunny and the service is top notch! The Ham Yard bar served up lovely and delicious drinks along with yummy snacks. The 4th floor outdoor patio is part garden, part lounge and was a...
