Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Good station but needs more TV's for departures and its very strange that you can only get to the luggage lockers if you have a ticket but any ticket not a future valid one?
Good range of shops and restaurants if you need to kill some time here.
The GVB is a municipal tram operator for the city of Amsterdam. It also operates 46 bus routes and 10 ferries. It is a private company but operates public transport. They sell single ride tickets and multi-day tickets. You can buy tickets at the train station and you can also buy them at the back of each tram.
Beautiful...and so well thought out! Lots of renovations going on, so the upper level cafe was closed...but the view from the 6th floor is fantastic....and a nice little cafe...with some outdoor seating available, or you can peruse the MANY magazines they have while having a nice coffee, or soup and a sandwich. Remember that this IS a library though...not a...
Not for the faint-hearted. However, for me it was extremely interesting from an anatomical point of view and the displays were very impressive. I liked the layout of the museum with different floors for different body systems. Worth a visit.

Great tiny restaurant (20 seats). Service was excellent. Menu is limited, based on what is in season from owner's farm outside of the city. Our salmon tartare with salad was so good, I practically licked the plate.
We were walking by and saw this long line and so I decided to get in line too. Whatever people were lining up for must be good. I got the larger ice cream. It was different. I couldn't figure it out. Only one flavor and it left no aftertaste in my mouth like many ice creams do. I highly recommend...
We stayed here for three days at the conclusion of a Baltic cruise. The location was excellent; it was close to the tram and central station. The room was clean and very large with a verandah and comfortable king-size bed. The staff were all friendly and accommodating, particularly the concierge -- Samantha Ay -- who often provided cheerful assistance. The...
This is a wonderful hotel with a great location! Walking distance to pretty much everything.
Staff was wonderful, very friendly. Bar staff was great, made perfect drinks.
Breakfast was very good as well, lots of choices and very filling.
The room we had was very small, smallest I have ever stayed in. But it was a great room, very comfortable...
The room was perfect. The breakfast was perfect. The location was perfect. The price was not-so-perfect, it is priciy. But what can I say about STAFF? More than PERFECT!!!
We felt welcomed, cared for, and safe.
We stayed in this hotel from the 18th - 21st July. Location was perfect, only a very short walk from Centraal Station and very close to all main attractions. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated and is immaculately clean. I could not say enough nice things about the staff! Each person we spoke to was friendly, warm, welcoming and incredibly...
Good hotel, with amazing restaurant downstairs, river view, a little bit far from the center dam square, no enough light inside the room, the price is high, but I think worth it, in front of the hotel there’s a coffee I’ll highly recommended you to visit
