By far the ritziest neighbourhood in town, Kolonaki is home to most of the chic boutiques and designer label stores. Here, the wealthy say no to austerity by dressing in their finest and spending hours in the trendy cafés around Kolonaki Square, sipping the most expensive coffee in Europe. The area also contains a couple of notable museums and cultural institutions, which add to the air of nobility. The leafy upper reaches of Kolonaki transition into Lykavittos Hill, the highest point in central Athens. Climb the paths through its wooded slopes to the tiny chapel at the top, from where you are rewarded with stunning views across the Acropolis to the sea and even the mountains of the Peloponnese on a clear day. "Unusual Collection of Early to recent Greek Artifacts"
reviewed 1 week ago by RSOMAS
Allow two to three hours to examine the 36 rooms of artifacts. Amazing gold miniature jewelery with tiny embelleshments, how did the do that thousands of years ago? Pottery, silver work, textiles and folk costumes to name a few categories. Definitely go see. Cafe on top floor along with WCs.

Very nice and helpful service, natural and clear atmosphere!
We ordered the Benedict eggs with avocado, Caesar’s salad, and a kind of pita .
The salad had a very mild taste, the chicken pie was ok but the eggs were the best plate!
The homemade lemonade was perfect!!!
Not only were the beds fabulous, but the staff helped to make our stay at Coco-Mat exceptional. They were very helpful recommending restaurants that fit our lifestyle and tastes, as well as allowing us to adjust our bed and pillows to ensure a relaxing sleep. Upon check in we were upgraded to a suite. The room was enormous with a...
We have lived for a year in Athens, then 3 months, both times in Kolonaki. we used to stay at the Athenian Inn, which has been replaced by a stylish modern hotel. We came for the neighborhood, with great cafes and restaurants, But we love the hotel, well-room, with fine rooms and--most important--great service.
