Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
We went to the concert hall because the building looks beautiful. When we went inside we were told we could take an audio tour through the building. The audio tour is very well set up and guides you through the building with a lot of inside information. We liked this a lot
If you are looking for a place to go that will be fun, interesting and educational for everyone including your teenagers, this is the place to go. They have unique, contemporary exhibits that display great art and entertain all ages. This is a definite place to visit for everyone visiting or living in the LA area.

Take a tour of the museum and be sure to visit the Hapa Exhibit, very moving and the longitudinal project is well done. Whether you're Hapa or not, go on a Saturday, take a polaroid and contribute a personal reflection on your identity.
Catholic or not, Roger Mahoney fan or not, pay a visit to the cathedral. The modern take on chapels, confessional rooms, central alter, holy water stoup, mausoleum and St. Vibiana Chapel is worth a look. Be sure to check out the Children's Garden and fountains in the main courtyard.
Had a breakfast at Pitchoun. The selection of pastries and various entries were mouth watering. They do have healthy options as this is LA after all. The coffee was excellent and counter servers were very friendly. One just had to control what you order as there are great French style pastries. So go hungry and enjoy

Our family of six adults dined here and had a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food and service superb. Our entrees of salmon and halibut were perfectly cooked. Highly recommend this place!
The Sheraton was a pleasant stay. Room is large and modern. Only complaint is bathroom lighting is not great. No lighting near makeup mirror, making it worthless.
Relatively quiet. Good bedding. All in all, not remarkable but good.
Excellent service by all staff. Stay on 24th floor so you have the bebfit of the Nest Lounge and Restaurant and WP 24 another restaurant. I made the reservation in this hotel to attend a conference in the convention center which is within a walking distance. The hotel is well maintained and furnished. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

With a business rate, I'd definitely stay here again if visiting the Downtown LA area.
-Friendly staff: offered me a complimentary dinner for the terrible inconvenience I had at check-in, breakfast staff cleared tables, requests were sent to my room promptly, and servers at the Bistro were kind.
- Large room with FULL kitchen
- Clean floors, comfy bed...
