A former pirates’ haven, pristine pink sand beaches, swimming pigs, the Abaco parrot, blue holes… If you missed it in the title, it’s quite possible that by now you know I’m describing the islands of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas! Before you hop on an hour-long (or less!) puddle jumper from the Florida coast, check out what the locals want you to know before you go to The Bahamas!

Havasu Falls is heaven on earth, no pictures or words can describe this place (but I’ll still try through pictures and words). The Havasupai Tribe actually lives in the Grand Canyon and because the falls are on their land, they have the privilege of being the proud owners of these wonders and have done an incredible job preserving them throughout time. In this guide, I’ll share everything you need to know to plan the perfect trip to see Havasu Falls for yourself!

If you want to discover true Florida and figure out why everyone is trying to move here, you have to get out of the big cities. Go see some alligators, watch the osprey, get a sunburn when it’s cloudy out, be confused by the 3 pm hurricane that only lasts 20 minutes. The list of things to do in Florida is plentiful and I’m going to share with you my top list as a local and a lover of Florida.

Lisbon is the capital city of Portugal, neighbouring Spain in Europe. Lisbon is well known for its beautifully coloured houses, narrow streets, thriving nightlife, boutique shopping, and custard tarts. Lisbon may be smaller than other European cities but it packs character and is budget-friendly, with many things to do within the city and many great day trips from the city.
