A Beautiful 16th century pub with a thatched roof, with original wooden low beams (mind your head) and a lovely inviting open fire for them chilly days. The pub attracts many locals from the surrounding villages in addition to welcoming guests from further afield. We are located within the Vale of Pewsey, an area of outstanding natural beauty of historic Wiltshire. located near by are many historical sites including Stonehenge, The Avebury stone circles and Woodhenge are all near by, Also, we are ideally situated as a base to see the many crop circles that are found in this area. Quick evening meal for two - great steak and burger, portion sizes were generous but not over the top. The bat has a great atmospheric, the restaurant area less so but not unpleasant.

Lovely village pub, with cosy areas, food and good selection drinks. Enjoy watching the people go by sitting outside in the nice weather. Good half way point on the dog walk too

This is a great village pub of the traditional style, old wooden beams, plenty of local beers on tap and friendly locals. Well worth a visit.
